Cast

Synopsis: The film is “based on a single chapter, the Captain’s Log, from Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel Dracula. The chapter tells the story of the Russian schooner, Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo – twenty four unmarked wooden crates – from Carpathia to London. The film will detail the strange events that befell the doomed crew as they attempt to survive the ocean voyage, stalked each night by a terrifying presence onboard the ship. When it finally arrived near Whitby Harbour, it was a derelict. There was no trace of the crew.”

Yes please, this is one of my favourite chapters from the novel, yet it's very little detailed. Massive potential.

It was a very good movie, I enjoyed pretty much everything in it, Dracula was terrifying and creepy, I just wish it had been a little bloodier.

Pretty fantastic. A lot to appreciate here. First thing that stuck out to me is the visual quality, the way this movie was shot and directed is just absolutely perfect to me. Spot on atmosphere. Honestly wish I could have seen this at the cinemas because it's such a beautiful film in a lot ways. A lot of really striking scenes visually that just blew me away even on my TV. Build-up to Dracula showing up was great, they do a good job building up the characters and I really enjoyed the narration too by Liam Cunningham. Some of the scenes later on are really creepy, I really liked the design of Dracula in this a lot myself.
