ESPN and Netflix Partner on Michael Jordan Doc Series 'The Last Dance'
The 10-part project, from 'Andre the Giant' director Jason Hehir, will chronicle the basketball icon and the stunning run of the 1990s Chicago Bulls.

ESPN Films and Netflix are teaming up for a long-form doc about Michael Jordan, with the basketball icon's full participation.

The Last Dance, slated to premiere on both Netflix and ESPN in 2019, will follow the Jordan's stunning rise during the 1990s, the success of the Chicago Bulls and the simultaneous increase in popularity for the NBA.

Directed by Jason Hehir (The Fab Five, The '85 Bears, Andre the Giant) and produced by Mike Tollin, the series will employ more than 500 previously unseen hours of footage from the Bulls' last championship run in 1997-98, with Jordan, other Bulls figures and dozens of sports luminaries signed on for commentary.

The Last Dance is produced by Mandalay Sports Media, in association with NBA Entertainment and Jump.23.

ESPN ran an AWESOME commercial for this with Kenny Mayne I think that looked just like a Sportscenter clip from the 90s bc he was de-aged so well and everything until this fool starts plugging a documentary about this that's gonna "air in 2020" or some shit :lmao

Yeah I just saw the Commercial for this and I'll be watching this for sure. The first ever Sports Jersey I got was from Rodman so hearing about The Bulls and MJ yes please.

Hi, I'm Chucky. Wanna play?
I guess they really cover all the good and bad of Jordan. So this should be excellent. There's supposed to a censored and uncensored version. I assume tonight it will be censored.

Nah I think the uncensored version is on ESPN and the censored versions air on ESPN2 at the same time from what I can tell

I just banged out Episodes 1 and 2 and I was thoroughly entertained with both Episodes. I like how it goes from the last Championship run for The Bulls, and then back to the early days of The Bulls when they were the least talked about team before Jordan got there. Episode 2 thank you for putting Pippen over for real. I always loved his Game and thought he was just as important as Jordan when the going got tough for The Bulls. I don't blame Pippen for being angry with Krause and how can you be when that Contract, and him talking openly about wanting to Trade you for so long. Now I don't agree with him attacking Krause in front of the team, but MJ did the same thing and I didn't see anyone telling MJ a damn thing. I really want to know what were the Trades that Krause was getting for Pippen for real. I haven't seen the Preview for Episode 3 and 4, but please get into their first NBA Finals Championship going through The Pistons who both teams hated each other with a passion.

naw rodman really the greatest ever :lmao

Yeah for Rodman to get 48 hours away with no rules truly a legend. I loved Episodes 3 and 4 putting together Rodman and his importance to the team, while giving loads of time to The Pistons/Bulls Rivalry. I'm with MJ here all bs coming from Thomas shake the opponents hands of players they did it in years past, why not give back that same respect. Truly bad boys to the end.

Does AEW have your attention now?!
I'm not even a fan of basketball but the first two episodes have hooked me.

To be fair to the little fat guy (Jerry Kruase?), from what I've seen so far - rebuilding a team while the players still have some value (if you think they're on the decline or about to decline) is just management... they're kind of painting him to be a bit of a tit, and maybe he is, but it's not like he just came in and tried to break them apart, from what I understand he built that team in the first place, including the manager?
