I know that Smackdown has taken a turn for the worse ever since they introduced the concept of the RAW Supershow, but Smackdown did improve it's product over the last little bit; that is until they unified both World Title belts. Seeing that Smackdown technically no longer has a World Title being active on it's brand, what's the odds that Smackdown is going to hit rock bottom soon? And considering Dean Ambrose doesn't do fuck all with the US Title, it's safe to say that Smackdown pretty much doesn't have a proper singles title anymore.

Anyone else think that Smackdown is beyond fucked at this point, or is the lack of titles not really going to affect the ratings for Smackdown considering Smackdown is just a recap of RAW pretty much?

No title has been brand exclusive since the Supershows. Smackdown will be exactly like it's been being.

Smackdown was created BEFORE the extension.

Honestly I don't get how you people can think that it's ever in jeopardy when shows like Main Event and Superstars are still around. Did you even read the Thread stating that WWE is trying to shop all of its shows at the same time thats actually a huge plus for smackdown

I think they still tour as two 'brands', no?

I'm sure theres been Raw and Smackdown house shows running on the same night over here. As long as WWE can keep making dat money, Smackdown aint gonna be scrapped anytime soon.

Probably needs a proper makeover though, and I don't mean just get a new set & theme tune and pretend it's "new and improved". It has a jobber stigma to it, it's where the lesser guys go because they can't headline Raw.

Is this a yearly thread now?

Smackdown! is being shopped around with the rest of the shows and SYFY will pay oodles of money to keep their #1 rated show. As for house shows.....shit was A show an dB show before the brand extension, the draw has always been two marquee guys maineventing and the rest of it with filler with guys using it to have fun and young guys working on their game.
