I've been amped to see this one for a while now, especially after hearing all the rave reviews about it. I'm a big fan of the director Martin McDonagh and I have really enjoyed his previous work he's done, I rewatch In Bruges like every year. It's such a sharp, funny movie. So I went in to this knowing about what to expect with the script, dialogue and direction. It really balanced the seriousness well with the humour. Such a beautiful setting with amazing visuals, story was so engrossing and I loved the character development, it was honestly perfect. Very interesing dynamic as well between the two leads. It really doesn't take long for you to start caring about them and being invested in what happens. I really like Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, they have such wonderful natrual chemistry together on screen. All of the cast were just phenomenal though, the performances felt so natural. Farrell was so incredible in this, the range of emotions his character Padraic goes through and he played them all up so to a flawless level. I definitely got quite emotional at some of the scenes, especially towards the end where it takes a more darker, serious turn.
