Might be getting a little ahead, but unlike last year, where they had Punk vs Taker feud ruined because of the gimmick PPVs, and gimmick matches just for the sake of happening, this time around, by the act of casualty, they might actually fit the feuds.

It helps that they removed Breaking Point, so after Summerslam, the main programs can continue normally into Night of Champions, and then, comes Hell in a Cell. By the time this PPV comes around, we might have a hot feud between Sheamus and Orton with already two matches under their banner needing the blowoff. Or even more apropiate, HHH is already back and has a HIAC with Sheamus. Hell, even Cena vs Sheamus could have logic for a HIAC. And then, from Smackdown, you have the possibility of Kane vs Taker on HIAC, or Taker vs whoever turns out to be his attacker, way, way more logical than last year's Punk vs Taker.

So, call it divine intervention on WWE's booking, but as of right now, it seems gimmickery won't get in the way of feuds.

This is just going be great in terms of feuds anyway. SmackDown! has a new champion who could turn out to be Taker's attacker. RAW is building young and fresh talent better than ever before. This time last year, most of the upper-midcarders were either in Limbo, jobbing, or not doing anything that could elevate their careers. Also, this summer and towards the end of 2010 is filled with the anticipation of HHH and Taker returning (the first one moreso) so the WWE has a lot of marbles to roll with. It's just up to them to execute and pull things off nicely.

Holy fuck the idea of Sheamus vs Orton in a HIAC makes me want to never watch wrestling again.
