I think that the model of having the world title change on PPV is becoming as obsolete as the PPV model itself. With the exception of the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania and when WWE feels like making Summerslam or Survivor Series important, there are rarely(not saying never, MITB this year is an exception) any stand out shows, nevertheless shows that draw big numbers. There are just too many ways to access the content without dropping $30 for something that TNA has managed to devalue.
The rating this week, while a good overall number, is quite scary. The show started with the highest rated quarter hour of the 2 hour program and the main event settled well below what the show opened up with. Hopefully they'll be able to maintain the higher ratings in the coming weeks, but it's not an encouraging pattern.
