The Michael Bay-produced reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has had a bumpy road to the big screen, but, despite all of the complaints from fans that Bay will somehow molest their childhood, the movie is moving forward at Paramount and Platinum Dunes. Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles) is at the helm and Megan Fox has already been selected to play open-minded journalist and yellow-jacket enthusiast April O'Neil. And now we have our first member of the new turtle gang: Raphael.

Alan Ritchson will be playing Raphael, the hot-headed, red-masked ninja whose weapon of choice is a pair of sai. If that name sounds vaguely familiar but you don't recognize Ritchson, that's because he's a relative newcomer to the big screen. He's best recognized from the small screen, having played Aquaman on Smallville, but he's about to have a good year thanks to a prime role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as the hunky tribute Gloss.

The new Ninja Turtles will be using motion capture instead of bulky foam suits, which should hopefully let some of Ritchson's personality come through despite the fact that he'll be playing a mutant turtle who punches purse snatchers and eats pizza. He had a likeable, but smug, cockiness as Aquaman, so it's not hard to see why they'd give him Raphael. Now we just need to wait and hear about Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo.

Raphael is my favorite Turtle I really hope that this movie is good, but I wont hold my breath

Not a bad idea. I am down with that just as long as we don't have to watch the third one which sucked. Turtles in time or whatever that was

Fuck the time traveling one. Just the first two. Kevin Nash even has a cameo in the sequel.

Fuck yeah. I LOVE the shit out of TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze. But of course we'll watch the original first.

That is why it sucked, no one remembers much about it but they all ended up back in the Samurai time and it was BS

I hardly remember those TMNT movies cause I was so young. I remember Shredder getting crushed in a garbage truck then having a building fall on him. I also remember Hun being a bald Japanese man instead of a white blond man which I was used to.

Last week, it was revealed that Blue Mountain State's Alan Ritchson is playing Raphael in the Michael Bay-produced Ninja Turtles. Now, the actors playing the other Turtles have stepped forward.

According to Deadline, Pete Ploszek is playing Leonardo, Jeremy Howard is Donatello, and, finally, Noel Fisher is playing Michaelangelo. Splinter (will he be in the movie?) and the Turtles' nemesis Shredder have not been cast, but we can expect an announcement soon.

They will join Megan Fox who is widely believed to be April O'Neil. Bay's post didn't say who she is playing.

Unlike the previous live-action movies, Ninja Turtles won't use rubber suits for the Turtles. Instead, they'll be motion-captured CGI similar to that of James Cameron's Avatar.

Wrath of the Titans' Jonathan Liebesman is directing, and the movie is scheduled for release on June 6, 2014.

Splinter better be in the movie. Now we know who is all four of them.
