So I'm going to book a holiday next week with a few mates and we wan't to go during spring break to one of the major 'party cities', although I really wanna go Cancun anyway.

We are English so are heading into this blind with no info and no idea what to expect, but as this is a predominantly American/Canadian board I thought I'd ask you lot.

- wheres the best place to go for spring break?
- when is spring break next year? (lol)
- what clubs are the best in said place?

Any other tips would be greatly welcomed including ideas of how much spending money is required and what hotel is best, etc.

Also post yr own experiences of spring brk trips, I guess.

Well pretty much everyone in North America heads down to either Cancun, Mexico or Florida, usually either Miami or Fort Lauderdale. So if you want something trendy like that, go for it. Acapulco, Mexico is nice too and not as expensive, but I heard they were having problems with tourists getting jacked down there.

Less-trendy, but still nice places to go would be Galveston, Texas or South Padre Island, Texas, both extremely nice touristy-places without the hefty price tag the others carry. Galveston's close to Houston, so you can hit up the night life when the beach gets boring. Padre's more of a 100% tropical vibe and not near any big cities.

And if you just want to get really fucking wasted and everything else is optional, you might as well head down to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. That's pretty much the wildest party city in America.

Been to Galveston quite a few times in recent years because I live close and it's gotten pretty trashy, not a fun place to be anymore unfortunately. South Padre Island is still nice though.
