I’m honestly far more worried that Kevin Williamson wasn’t attached to this. They tried that in Scream 3.

I still like the final film of the trilogy, but it’s the weakest.

Wes had the direction and Williamson had the tight scripts. I'm quite concerned about how this turns out but hoping for the best.

4 is personally my favourite after the first movie, but I enjoyed 2 a lot. 3 was okay, I didn't like the voice changer thing. Weakest killer reveal as well. It just did nothing for me. Some cool concepts but quite flawed.

3 is absolute trash and I won’t hear otherwise. 4 is okay but I’ve soured on it since it came out, Emma Roberts still kills it but I actually feel Williamson’s script is pretty bland tbh.

3 was written without Williamson and one of the main reasons it fails like it does. As for 4, Williamson’s original script was much better, but studio meddling changed a good chunk of it. Including the ending. The person responsible for that was Weinstein who brought in the same dude who wrote 3 to rewrite portions of it.

I’ll still see 5, but with zero involvement of Williamson, I’m quite skeptical about how good it will be, honestly.

Williamson gave a small synopsis of what 5 would have been had the studio not messed with 4 and it sounded like a pretty cool and new way to do the second trilogy.

It’s a shame we’ll never see it.

I did like the ending of 4 I just thought the whole movie besides a few performances is average. And that’s from my most recent viewing a few weeks ago.

Fair. My main issue with the ending is that it killed the trilogy that was planned and the original concept ending was better.

I will say 4 isn't quite as good now as it was when I first saw it, but I think the writing is still far more solid than most of the 3 script.

I do like them all and do like the little noods to others like Carrie Fischer and her moms name. Roman was just weak to me but now when I see him in other things I can't get past him being Ghostface.

I liked 4 but haven't watched it a couple of years.

It drops 16 days before my Birthday hell yeah. I loved what I saw in this Trailer that is the vibe I wanna see with a Scream Trailer. Okay so it's someone tied to their past I heard right could it be a Child of Billy or Stu or hell why not have a child of Randy that is come to end Sidney etc because him being involved in this chaos had their being raised in a shitty life with no Dad in their lives. That staredown and fight with the Killer and Dewey

It is weird to see how old David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox look now. I watched all four of them in October with my oldest daughter and it was such a wave of nostalgia.

I just realized; I look old as fuck now too.
