During a recent interview with WhatCulture, he was asked if there’s a chance he’ll be part of the pay-per-view later this month in Las Vegas.

“I would hope so,” Starks answered. “But I really don’t know. Every time I always predict something to go some way, it doesn’t go that way.”

“I really have no clue. It’s just a very interesting time, I feel like. I wish that I was on Dynamite, or I wish I was on Dynasty, I wish I was on these things. But I think at a certain point, just for my own sanity, I can’t go too crazy about it because the proof is in my work and in my effort that I’ve constantly given.”

Starks appeared to be injured in his match against Top Flight two months ago. He took a Pele kick from Darius Martin and the match went to the finish shortly after. Starks would later write on Instagram that he was fine and was just being precautious.

When asked about speculation that an injury is keeping him off AEW programming at the moment, Starks responded that he’s not hurt.

“I’m not hurt. Even that night, I specifically stated, ‘Hey, I’m not hurt.’ I was just being cautious about it because at the moment I didn’t know what was happening.”

“I wasn’t hurt and I was never put on an injury list or anything like that. I have no answers. People ask me all the time, I don’t know, I have no clue. That isn’t up to me. It does suck, obviously, to not be on TV but the support and people online and people who send me messages is very, very sweet and endearing and very encouraging.”

I heard/read a rumor that his contract is coming up soon. I wonder if that has anything to do with it

This is my conspiracy theory based on nothing

It’s cuz he was at Mania and TK feels he’s leaving no matter what so why bother showcasing him

He could be being 100% truthful and AEW are just dropping the ball, but I think there's also a good chance he's leaving out vital info, such as, perhaps, his contract is about to end and he's not gonna re-sign, so they're not bothering with him.

Idk about ball dropping, they gave this guy a million pushes but he wants to hang out backstage at wwe and continuously praise public enemy # 1 while still swooning with Cody n jade. I wouldn't push him either anymore

I feel like the amazing Creskin cuz I knew what Jeff would write. Lol no shade I just know where you’re coming from on that. Also while I don’t totally agree with all of that I don’t disagree with it all either

Don't get me wrong either , I do think there coukd have been more singles gold for the guy. I think a lot of it was bad luck n circumstance. I think it's wild he's still sucking off Phil though considering he's the reason that angle was dropped (n he got a sweet series with danielson).

I like Ricky but I also don't think he's gonna be anything but a midcarder or a Cody lackey in WWE where his size will actually be a detriment

If/When Ricky does leave, I think he’ll be a top player in NXT almost right away

So less money and less eyeballs n in developmental at 34 years old? Sounds like a huge downgrade to me

Would be a big loss for AEW imo, feel like the ball has been dropped with him. As a fan of his it’s been unfortunate not seeing him on AEW TV lately.

He would be a good edition to WWE though. Great promo guy that would fit in with others there.

Don’t think he does NXT tbh
He’s got tons of tv experience
I’d say he shows up to help out Cody in a future angle

Does he suck off Phil? I can’t say I’ve seen any of that
