Raw Five-Point Preview: June 1, 2015

WWE Elimination Chamber gave birth to incredible WWE World Heavyweight Championship controversy, a hungry new Intercontinental Champion and one of the most incredible debuts in WWE history. In the wake of Sunday’s explosive event on WWE Network, WWE.com explores five reasons why you cannot afford to miss tonight’s Raw at 8/7 C on USA Network.

1. Is The Lunatic Fringe the rightful World Champion?

echamber_dean_walks_053115.jpg

Last night at WWE Elimination Chamber, after the referee was knocked out at the height of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, a second referee emerged and counted The Architect’s shoulders to the canvas. Nevertheless, the original official ruled the contest a disqualification – an action that would leave Rollins as champion. But should he be? Once the original referee was out of commission, shouldn’t his relief him have been in charge of the ruling?

In any event, Ambrose – with the help of his “brother” Roman Reigns – walked out of Corpus Christi, Texas, with WWE’s top prize. Will procession truly prove to be 9/10’s of the law? In a WWE.com exclusive video, WWE COO Triple H said that Ambrose has until the start of Raw to return the title. If he doesn’t comply, there is no telling what retribution will be levied against him. On the other hand, The Authority has made demands of The Lunatic Fringe before and come up empty. Whatever happens, it is sure to turn Raw completely upside down, tonight at 8/7 C.

2. Will Raw feel the shockwaves of one of the greatest debuts in WWE history?

WWE Elimination Chamber also saw NXT Champion Kevin Owens stun the WWE Universe by pinning 15-time World Champion John Cena in his WWE debut match!

What will be the effect of the unforeseen defeat on both The Champ and WWE as a whole? Owens gave Cena some “veteran advice” moments after the bell sounded that he is finished. Is he right? Now that he has triumphed over Cena, will the outspoken competitor be making himself a regular presence on Raw? (Well, we’re certainly not gonna tell him he can’t be there.) How will the leader of the Cenation react? And, when all is said and done, should he be addressing Owens on Raw … or on NXT?

3. Feeding frenzy
echamber_exclu_ryback.jpg

In the first Elimination Chamber Match for the Intercontinental Title, Ryback outlasted the twisted metal of the career-altering structure as well as five of WWE’s elite contenders to capture the coveted championship for the first time!

However, now that “the good guy” has won, the bad guys will no doubt be coming out of the woodwork to knock him off the mountain. But, when one considers the seemingly unlimited amount of power and determination possessed by The Human Wrecking Ball, it could be the would-be contenders who may be headed for the fall.

4. Who will look to build up Money in the Bank credits?

At WWE Elimination Chamber, the first six competitors to take part in June 14’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match were announced: Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, Neville, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton.

With only two weeks until the monumental contest – with the winner earning a WWE World Heavyweight Title Match contract which they can cash-in whenever they see fit anytime in the next year – what lengths will the ambitious already-named combatants go to gain momentum? And who else will be joining them in the highly-anticipated showdown?

5. Who should be the WWE Tag Team Title No. 1 contenders?

20150531_THUMBNAIL_EC_TagTeam.jpg

It was a sight to see. The first WWE Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match not only saw The New Day use their superior numbers to survive five other tandems and retain their championships, but it also showcased the incredible field that currently makes up the tag team division.

So which one of them should be the new No. 1 contenders? Will it be The Prime Time Players, who were the last tag team challengers eliminated? Or are The Lucha Dragons the rightful next in line, considering their amazing high-flying execution on the special Sunday night event?

The fact is that every one of their teams brought something incredible to the contest and could make their case for a future championship opportunity. Will The Authority decide? Or will it become a question of who steps up and takes their place in the front of the pack? Find out tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Is Daniel Bryan Appearing On Raw Tonight?

- Daniel Bryan is scheduled for tonight's Raw in San Antonio, Texas after appearing on the Elimination Chamber Kickoff on Sunday, according to PWInsider.com.

Appearing on MizTV, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion declared that his in-ring career is far from over. Bryan has been undergoing rehabilitation for a rash of undisclosed injuries that forced him to relinquish the Intercontinental Championship on the May 11, 2015 edition of Raw.

I hope they start a Sheamus/Ryback feud tonight to build for MITB, those guys went at it pretty nicely as the final two standing in the EC seeing them in a full singles match would be nice.

WWE is in need of Brock Lesnar to come back, kill some people and then make stuff exciting again!

Has anyone noticed ever since DB's been gone, Reigns has been getting all cheers? That's nice.
