Mr Perfect won the IC title on the May 19th 1990 episode of Superstars by defeating Tito Santana in a Tournament Final. He lost the title on August 27th 1990 to the Texas Tornado at SummerSlam. He won the title back from the Texas Tornado on the December 19th 1990 episode of Superstars. He lost the title to Bret Hart at SummerSlam on August 26th 1991.

Bret Hart won the IC title on August 26th 1991 from Mr.Perfect at Summerslam. He lost the title to The Mountie on January 17th 1992 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He won his 2nd title from Roddy Piper on April 5th 1992 at Wrestlemania VIII. He lost the title to the British Bulldog on August 29th 1992 at SummerSlam.

This is tough. Both were excellent champions and had some great matches but as I can only pick one I went with Perfect. He owned that title and took it to the next level.

Also went with Perfect. The is the final in my mind. These are the two greatest IC champs. Went with Perfect because he was never getting the WWE title, but made up for it with great runs with the IC belt.

Good point, I went with Perfect too, because of the heat he got as a heel champion, and because the Hitman made quite a fast raise from this level to the main events. By the way the match between these two at Summerslam 91 still ranks as one of the best I have ever seen.

Those two had great chemistry, if only Perfects back didn't get screwed up, they could've had more matches. I read there house show matches were even better.

I remember Bret saying in a Shoot, that the match at SS91 didn't match some of their house matches [which I find hard to believe!], but that Perfect was also a true pro to show up anyway and put the performace in he did, and put Bret over.

Suprised this one wasn't closer, I guess people just see Perfect as more of a IC Champion than Bret.
