Put Me On - 04/10/23 | Listen Session One
My thoughts:
#1 Wasn’t really my cup of tea.
#2 Decent enough composition, but not really pulling me to listen again.
#3 Had a Japanese fusion sound - but didn’t connect on a personal level.
#4 Respect Miles Davis - but not really my very song
#5 Had some passionate 90s grunge flavour. Wasn’t particularly drawing me in though - but changed my mind as the song progressed. The solo guitar work bangs.
#6 It was a bit too cheesy for me.
#7 Seeing this is from the 70s surprises me. Feels ahead of its time and almost a precursor to Synthwave whilst also holding something that feels like the 80s.
#8 Music has a lot of potential - but the singer doesn’t really draw me in enough to invest further.
#9 Quite a feel good song, doesn’t take itself too seriously. Not heard Modest Mouse for fucking years, might listen again to an album.
#10 Reminded me of the Dinosaur Warfare Album from the Draft. Curious to see what an entire album is like, and thought it was quite an interesting concept.
Sis's thoughts:
1. Uninterested by this music, so listening again would not be for me.
2. It's a vibe baby!
3. It was okay, but it needed some spices or something.
4. Talented - good at the bar with a glass of whisky and cigar and just vibing to them.
5. Good voice and good rock out too. And chilled vibes.
6. I like it.
7. Sounds like a funky Mario 64 level.
8. Started off well and then went down hill.
9. It's funny and happy.
10. Band was interesting, but didn’t like the song.
