Bartholomew - I used this for Buffalo Jones, either his theme or in his first promo… either way, yeah, I like this song. Very prototypical modern folk rock.

Bob Dylan's 115th Dream - he was certainly saying a lot of shit

Broken Heart - only know Everything Is Alright by MCS, so I was happy to hear some of their other stuff is also good

Champagne and Reefer - The title tells you everything about the song really. Great song for having a good time.

Dig It - never even heard of The Coup but I thought the beat sounded great and I enjoyed the chopped hook, as well as them trading bars during the verses.

Ghost - I don't have too much to say about this, I thought it was a decent little metal song but nothing that is gonna stick with me.

Gold - now this is interesting because I actually used to listen to this but didn't recognize it when I added it to the playlist. Is this my first instance of being put BACK on?

I Am The Unknown - reminds me a little of Joe Gacy's theme

I See Dead People - like the music but no so much the vocalist and lyrics

It Had To Be You - this would be my preferred Motion City Soundrtrack song this week, it's really solid

My Name Is Human - Highly Suspact have this type of jam down, good stuff again

See You Later, Alligator - this list was in need of a little variance so there you go. Will almost certainly never listen to this again unless I need it for a bit.

Souls of Black - crazy ass song from the start

Spillways - admittedly I'm not the biggest Ghost fan even some of their instrumentation is pretty impressive. I also am not big on 80s rock, so this song as a whole just didn't click for me

Splish Splash - kinda enjoying these tbh

That's Coke - not a bad one, very reminiscent of a particular time and place in rap

The Anticosmic Overload - Nice! Reminds me of early Trivium. I probably should have heard more Obscura by now because I've known the name for years.

The Otherside - had a good, moody atmosphere at the beginning and kicked into a stronger chorus, the whole thing is giving me slightly less grungy Alice in Chains vibes.

Want You - this is the only pop/dance/edm song we had this week? At least it was a doozy. That drop did not go the way I was expecting.

Put Me On - 3/20/2023 - Blind Listen Session One

#1. Starting off with a folksy/bluesy rock tune. Was an interesting tune and has potential, especially if part of an album of similarity.
#2. Even with a blind listen - obviously the unique voice is Dylan. A little bit of a nonsense song - but everyone is saved with an occasional harmonica. On a serious note - is a unique song, but a tad longer than wanted fmpov.
#3. Very poppy with a small element of rock or punk under the surface - although with the acoustic sound hard to work out if this is an alternative version or an original piece. Didn't actually mind it, and strangely this list seem to have an accidental theme already.
#4. Another folk song [this is spooky now]. Really enjoyed the output of this song, and think it hits the nail on the head.
#5. This one wasn't for me - just didn't appeal at all.
#6. No comment - for the purpose of civility.
#7. So far this is my favourite song. Like gravity, I feel a force pulling me towards this song. Is going to get repeat listens. Very cool sound.
#8. This had a very mellow indie pop feel to it. Not exactly the sound I am chasing after at the moment - but is likely to be something I will riding on a wave in a few months time as moods change. Enjoyed it though.
#9. was not expecting to hear slowthai in one of these playlists. I don't mind this song, although thai isn't really the grime sound I would normally subscribe to.
#10. Has rock with like an undertone of electronica vibes at the same time. I was certainly left intrigued by this one.
#11. Not my favourite song in the world, on a lyrical basis. But I do enjoy the hard and heavy music that this song provides. Doesn't pretend to be anything else.

@Hoss Obscura are great, I like to refer to them as a German and imo, even more fun version of The Faceless

This has been one of my favorite playlists so far since we started this thing. I especially like Bartholomew, Bob Dylan’s 115th Dream, and Champagne and Reefer.

(2) Not a fan of this song and I dare not to go further after 2:45 minutes of listening to anymore of his babbling. Sorry.
(3) Decent song by Motion City Soundtrack. I admit that I'm not familiar with their work, but after listening to this, I'll try to give their other songs a listening in the future.
(4) Can't take this song seriously. Nothing fancy, polished or mind-blowing, it's just simply relaxing and a happy tune.
(5) I kinda dig this song by The Coup. The beat made the song IMO.
(6) I'm really loving the song by Devin the Dude. The beat, the lyrics, and it's relaxing.
(7) I've heard the Badflower song many times. I think it's alright. Nothing really stood out TBH.
(9) I had to listen this a few times, it didn't seem to really appeal to me.
(11) Loving the raw energy in this metal hit by The Amity Affliction. The speedy drums, the screams, and oddly, it's a win-win for me.
(12) Another song by Motion City Soundtrack that delivered well, just like their other song "Broken Hearts."
(13) Though this is among the songs I've heard many times, I absolutely love it. Easily among the best songs in 2016 for me and easy to get lost to.
