WWE will be bringing back former General Managers for RAW and SmackDown while the Board of Directors finds permanent replacements. Some of the names that potentially could be used for the role include Steve Austin, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Jonathan Coachman, Mike Adamle, Bret Hart, Vickie Guerrero, William Regal and the Anonymous General Manager.

I'm cool with any of these except Adamle and Anonymous. I think the ratings grabber is obviously Austin.

I know it can't happen because he's working for TNA, but I would mark out for an hour if Vince came out and said he wanted to introduce the new GM and then this hit the Titantron....

I would love that also, wish it could happen. I thought bringing Eric to WWE was a great move.

In a time when my interest in WWE was waning, his appearance on Raw really got me back into it. They really need something like that now, because the show is hurting.

Most definitely...after last night's horrendous second hour, I am surprised people haven't boycotted watching Raw. There is nothing that holds my interest other than Punk, Bryan, and Ziggler. They go on in the first hour or maybe a little after, so I usually turn off the television afterward.

So Austin would be the GM and he would feud with CM Punk. What reason would he have to do that? I mean its not like he's going to be a heel GM, and since Punk is a face I see no reason for them not to get along.

If this has something to do with your idea that Austin and Punk should fight at WM 29, there are many different ways to go about that without making Austin the GM.

Yeah because CM Punk is a terrible heel. And because John Cena and The Rock didn't have a face vs face feud

I don't think they're going to turn Punk anytime soon, he's doing well as a face champ. You can't use Rock/Cena as an argument, neither of them was the GM. I said that there were other ways of doing the feud that didn't involve Austin being the GM, that's one of them.

Well fine Austin doesn't have to be GM. But heel Punk vs GM Austin would be awesome.

It's not going to happen lets think of something that actually will happen. I could see Paul Heyman not suing Triple H on the grounds of him becoming GM and then feuding with Punk. That is something that could happen.

Or Punk and Heyman could team up. Remember CM Punk is a Paul Heyman guy

I would like either Vince or Coach to get a permanent (semi-permanent) job as GM the most. Buit seeing as how Coach works for ESPN, I think that only leaves Vince with the opportunity. However, I'm not going to pretend like I don't think SCSA will get the job, which I'm kinda sorta fine with. I'd be a lot warmer to the possibility if he still wasn't around on WWE TV on frequent occasion regardless. Also, I imagine he'd only keep the job until 'Mania anyways.

So yeah, I'm holding out for Vince the most..

Also Cyrus Riddle - Stone Cold isn't really a big ratings drawer. Maybe for one off appearances, but WCW managed to beat him for two years straight while he was arguably at his hottest. So for a long term ratings solution, he's not the answer.
