The (Kayfabe) Adventures of Trousers

Day -5: I'm five days away from starting my journey, and a small little pokemon thing with a ridiculously big unibrow has asked me what pokemon I plan to pick. Ignoring the fact that a pokemon just talked to me, I think for less than a second before giving the answer I've told my friends like, 50 times.

"Well Mr. Pokemon thing, I plan to take that cute little douchebag owl. Now, since the wonderful land of Kalos was also ridiculously douchey, I'll name my owl in a Kalonian accent... 'DouShay'"

I do know I am starting with Litten. Not sure which Pokemon I will catch first. Likely just filler mons till I get what I want.

Prologue to Cali's Adventures in sun:

Cali grew up in a region far from Alola. She was always a sweet and caring girl until she lost her dad (if they pull a Gen 3 and have a Dad, I will say that is a Step-Dad) in a Lawn Bowling accident. Because of that, she has kept an oath of silence. Too traumatized to speak, she has few friends and her mother is concerned that she will grow up and be a loser without friends. So she has a special move planned. As for Cali, she spends most her days playing with these mysterious creatures known as "Pokémon." They seem to be the only few things that give her a genuine smile as other times she has a fake smile plastered on her like wax. Cali has a connection with these weird creatures...although she got burned by this weird lizard thing twice last week for liking Mudkips. Just days ago, her mother informed her that they are moving to a mysterious island region known as Alola. These people are apparently out of shape as they have no gyms, and some creatures from her homeland look very different there. Perhaps they are lazy people and give the animals narcotics of some kind? But now, she is on the plane and is flying down to Alola. Will there be grand adventures for her to partake in? Is there any chance she may meet new friends? Will there be an annoying, over-enthusiastic boy there who will keep telling her "Hau are you?" Is there a self-harming professor who lets himself get attacked by creatures that shoot lasers? Will there be a team of people with so much street cred, yo? But lastly, will there be MUDKIPS!?

Time will tell...​

Day 1: *Trying my best to keep spoilers*

In the span of playing one day, I have powered through Melemele Island and now I am near the end of the trials on Akala Island. I have 5 of my 6 team members chosen. Here are my thoughts and what I've basically done.

I started the game with my Popplio and eventually caught my first team member, Grubbin, who hits like a truck. During this time, I caught some old and new Pokemon to fill the dex a bit and have back up team members such as "Pikahuge" the Makuhita, and "Larry" the Crabrawler. First totem was reletively easy...but there was more.

Through out my time playing, I have rarely used the experience share. Which I find that adds a good amount of difficulty to the game. A few times I ran out of healing items on a boss or trainer. Especially one totem pokemon even with a super effective z-move I wasn't able to beat him easy.

For trials, I've enjoyed them. They are different enough from the gyms to be unique, and sometimes the totem Pokemon are a great challenge (you know, because they are usually a FULLY EVOLVED POKEMON WITH AN INSTANT STAT BOOST AT THE BEGINING OF THE BATTLE AND CALL IN POKEMON THAT CAN AND WILL F-UP YOUR DAY!)

It's on my team. Warning, you NEED to have a female one or else it won't evolve(fairly rare to get a girl, but I got one first try). It is near the Volcano trial. I call mine Ivy Hale.

Wow really? I spent like, 30 minutes looking for a girl just because I wanted to name her after a female singer. Guess it was good I did that



So, I'm writing this more like a tv show than a journal... because I want to.
