WWE Vengeance: Night of Champions 2007 was taking place on June 24th, 2007. It would feature EVERY Title on the line from the three brands, Raw, SmackDown!, and ECW and the titles would be on the line on the same night and the same Pay-Per-View. The main feud for Raw was the “WWE Championship Challenge Match†as WWE Champion, John Cena would put the belt on the line against Mick Foley, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, and King Booker. The main feud for SmackDown! Was the “Last Chance Match†for the World Heavyweight Championship as Edge would put the Title on the line against Batista and if Batista lost the match, he would not be able to get another World Heavyweight Championship shot as long as Edge is the Champion. The main feud for ECW was for the VACANT ECW Championship as Chris Benoit would battle it out against CM Punk as fans would call this match a “dream†but before the event, Benoit called WWE Owner, Vince McMahon and told him that he couldn’t make the show due to “personal reasonsâ€. Despite the disappointment that Benoit would not be at the PPV, McMahon decided to replace him with ECW’s newest Superstar, Johnny Nitro.

Also, a few weeks before this event, WWE held a WWE Draft Lottery for all three brands and they held matches as Superstars would represent their brand and win matches to gain a new superstar from either brand but theirs to their brand. Here are the WWE Draft Lottery 2007 Draftees:

Since Lashley was drafted to Raw, WWE Chairman, Mr. McMahon stripped Lashley off the ECW Championship and declared it VACANT.

Batista (SmackDown!) def. Jeff Hardy (Raw) and Elijah Burke (ECW) in a Triple Threat Match

SmackDown! Draftee: Ric Flair (Raw)

Randy Orton (Raw) won a 15-man Inter-Promotional Battle Royal to gain Two Draftees to Raw

In the WWE Supplement Draft 2007 on WWE.com, it was the same rules only the Draftees were not drawn by matches but this time they were drawn by numbers. Here are the WWE Supplement Draft 2007 Draftees:

After the WWE Draft Lottery 2007, Vince McMahon went into his limo and after he shut the door, it blew up. It was believed that this is indeed a "storyline" and they’re going through the possibility’s that did it mean to happen or did McMahon’s “death†happen "accidentally"?

Here are the WWE Vengeance: Night of Champions 2007 Results

Edge (c) def. Batista in a “Last Chance Match†to retain the World Heavyweight Championship via Countout (16:50)
Batista originally won the match by Disqualification after Edge hit a low blow but SmackDown! General Manager, Theodore Long came down to the ramp and stated that the match was to be restarted and if Edge Disqualified the match or got himself Counted Out, Batista would be the new World Heavyweight Champion. However, Edge won the match to retain after Batista got counted out.

On the same night as WWE Vengeance: Night of Champions 2007, the “Wrestling World†was shocked to learn that ECW Superstar, Chris Benoit, his Wife, Nancy, and his son, Daniel were found dead at their home. It was believed that due to steroids or painkillers, Benoit murdered his family and placed a Bible beside them before committing suicide on himself. However, due to the shocking events that have occurred, tomorrow night’s WWE Monday Night Raw will hold no matches and there will be no crowd in attendance as there will be a “tribute†show held for Benoit as WWE will not remember him for what he done to himself, Nancy, and his son, Daniel…but for what he’s done for the Wrestling Business and for Entertaining all of the Wrestling fans around the World for all of his Wrestling Career.

OK, my Raw will NOT be like the real Raw but it might be a bit similar as McMahon might drop this "death" storyline, there will be no matches or no crowds at the event, and there will be WWE Wrestlers remembering him for what he’s done for the Wrestling Business and not to his family but I also might show different stuff like more matches from his career like in WWE, WCW, ECW, and Japan but after that, the shows will be completely different. The rosters will be posted soon along with a Preview and then I’ll begin to write Raw.

Good start. I am not sure how some other bookers will receive the idea of a Chris Benoit Tribute Show, but I for one love it. It all seems very detailed and well put, I will be reviewing.

Check out BTW if you get the chance.
