I did some quick research and the guy who played Killer BOB in the original Twin Peaks died before the movie. I've never seen the movie(just the original series) though so I don't think this is a judgmental call I can't make.

The character BOB can possess other people and I think he was in someone else's body in the movie, been awhile since I've seen it but I'm pretty sure it shows the murder that the show is started from (it's a prequel) so he'd have to be involved lol
