I liked the idea of it being dragged out, I don't think the belt shot means a heel turn, more Christian picking his spot. I'm hoping and praying that this whole thing leads into Summerslam.

I was thinking this belt shot business was a bit random, but then I got to remembering that Orton's inadvertent interference on SmackDown led to Christian losing that match right?

Yeah which is why I was hoping Christian did something. Orton cost him a shot at the title so logically he could turn that into thinking Randy did it on purpose.

Just watched the show and it was good. Henry vs. Christian was a good opener and I was surprised they didn't go with the normal "Tornado DDT" finish for the big man opponents. AJ/Kaitlyn losing again was strange. Jinder Mahal from what I saw looked OK, I like the storyline they're doing with Khali though so I'm interested in seeing where it goes. Ezekiel/Barrett was a waste of a match, again, them dragging out the inevitable Ezekiel win will make it more of a moment though I guess. Bryan vs. DiBiase was great, really solid TV match, even better than Rhodes vs. Bryan from last week. Enjoying the building feud between Rhodes/Bryan. Main event was alright, never liked Sheamus and Orton together though. Christian looking good to end the show was a good sight to see.

It also came across as a heel turn, whereas I thought it would be more to further the feud.

Can't wait to see what happens next week.

WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday)

Christian to start show with promo saying that he was curious what kind of reaction he would get when he came out. If you cheered for him you understood why he did what he did last week. He says that he doesn't think anyone quite gets it. He says he is through with everyone. He is done with all his peeps and doesn't want to talk to any of his so called peeps ever again. He proceeds to call Michael Cole into the ring which he does. He tells him he believes he's earned one more shot for the World Heavyweight Championship. He says he has a lot to get off his chest. He says that he doesn't understand why the so called peeps, the same people that blew up Twitter and emails when he was screwed out of the title 5 days after he earned it. He continues with asking Cole what kind of show Teddy Long was running asking the useless fans what they think about matches and ruining his 17 years of hard work. He says that he feels disrespected by everyone and especially Randy Orton for accepting the challenge in the first place. He tells Cole to ask the people a question for him since he isn't talking to them anymore. He tells Cole to ask them if they think he should be World Heavyweight Champion. He does and the crowd boos heavy. Christian gets back on the mic and says that's what he expected that the people were clueless and he would be Champion again and he would do it himself and not share it with anyone of the fans. Good heel turn.

They show The Corre walking in the back....

Corre vs Ezekiel Jackson and The Usos in a 6 man tag match is the opening contest for Smackdown. Wade Barrett leaves in the middle towards the end of the match. Ezekiel Jackson torture racks Justin Gabriel for the win as Barrett watches from the stage. Pretty good tag match.

Backstage promo with Sheamus and Teddy Long demanding a match with Christian tonight. Teddy Long says he's going to put him with someone else that is upset and says he's going to put him with Randy Orton tonight.

Backstage promo with Slater and Gabriel telling Barrett that The Corre was over!

Trent Baretta vs The Great Khali's rookie from last year (didn't catch the name) w/ Khali at ringside. Loud USA chants during the match. Quick job match. Baretta got a small amount of offense in but was distracted by Khali when he went to the top rope setting up the finish. Khali with the vice grip after the match.

Backstage with new WWE diva AJ. Tamina gave her cheese as a welcome gift. Angie talked some junk and Tamina said that was small talk for a girl who would be alone in the ring tonight. Natalyia came up next to Angie and Tamina sniffed and asked if someone cut the cheese. Corny as hell. LOL!!!.

Tamina vs AJ is up next. Typical Divas match which ended with AJ rolling Tamina up for the win.

Randy Orton shown walking in the back...

Orton out with the World Title to a HUGE ovation. He cuts a promo about Christians promo earlier. He calls Christian out which brings us to the Titantron. Christian tells Randy to ask the fans what they want. Christian tells Randy that he wants one more match for the title. He says he was the referee last week and could have counted his shoulders but he didn't want to beat Sheamus. They make a match for Capitol Punishment. Christian then leaves and says "See you in DC Randy".. I'm guessing they will make it a triple threat or totally ignore Sheamus all together.

Backstage they show Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase talking about their partnership. Rhodes calls for his bagged and tells him to put a bag on his head and get out of his face (pointless).

Sin Cara vs Ted DiBiase is next. (Cara's pyro is EXTREMELY loud).. Sin Cara won via DQ when Rhodes grabbed him from outside the ring. Post match beat down until Daniel Bryan ran in and made the save.

Teddy Long comes out and makes it a tag team match. Cara and Bryan vs DiBiase and Rhodes is now up...Heels control most of the match except for a few spots with most of the heat on Sin Cara. Match ended when Daniel Bryan locked his submission on DiBiase from the top rope and made him submit.

Johnny Curtis in the back saying that he won NXT 3 months ago and we only saw him twice since. He said he wasn't mad but he had one of these which he revealed a potato chip on his shoulder.. Another corny joke LOL!

Backstage promo (way too many of these... Crowd is getting pissed) with Orton talking about his match with Sheamus.

Sheamus comes out. Apparently it's a No DQ match with Orton. Orton comes out to another huge ovation. Let's Go Randy chants throughout the show. Sheamus starts the match until Orton takes over shortly after. Match goes out to the floor quickly and then back in rather quickly. Typical back and forth match with little uses of weapons. Nice couple of spots with the kendo stick. Christian runs in and tried to Killswitch Orton and loses it and rolls out of the ring. Orton RKOs Sheamus and runs into a belt shot from Christian. Setting Sheamus up for a crawl to pin to end the match and show. Christian poses with the belt over Orton and leaves with the belt.
So Christian is def full fledged heel now in case anyone had any doubt. SD really needed someone to step up as number 1 heel and I think he is the right choice.

He IS the right choice, the problem is...he's not going to be the #1 heel. Orton will bury him as usual, he'll go back to the midcard and then Orton will start feuding with Sheamus again. Vince McMahon will NEVER give him the title reign he deserves.

Corre being finished is awesome as well. WADE FOR MITB.

Well you thought he'd never get the world title in the 1st place and it happened so who knows.

Looks like a decent enough show. Really glad to see Christian heel again and I'm definitely interested in seeing Ted DiBiase/Cody Rhodes vs. Sin Cara/Daniel Bryan.

Good lord with the corny jokes on this one with the cut the cheese and chip on the shoulder stuff. Had to be one creative who did both of those ideas. Looking forward to seeing Christian's promo though.

Smackdown opens with World Champion Randy Orton coming out and announcing his concussion but says that he doesn't care and still wants a piece of Christian. Teddy Long comes out and says he doesn't care and wants Christian. Long says he can't allow Orton to compete. Christian comes out and says he's going to win the World title this Sunday. This brings out Sheamus who says he beat Orton last week and he's the one who deserves a title shot. Christian calls him Strawberry Shortcake and tells him that it's not his time. Long announces Christian vs. Sheamus for the main event tonight. If Sheamus wins, he gets into the title match on Sunday and it's a Triple Threat. If Christian wins, the match remains as it currently stands. Orton will be at ringside but not allowed to get involved.

In a rematch from Raw, Sin Cara & Daniel Bryan & Ezekiel Jackson defeated Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes & WWE Intercontinental Champ Wade Barrett when Bryan pinned DiBiase in what was obviously a terribly screwed up finish as the referee counted three as DiBiase kicked out.

Note - they did show the replay of the finish, so perhaps it was a storyline thing - just came off really weird.

Sheamus cuts a backstage promo promising to beat Christian tonight and Orton Sunday to become the new World Champion.

Jinder Mahal defeated Vladimir Kozlov.

Josh Matthews interviewed Big Show inside the ring, asking why him why he was here on Smackdown. Show said that he heard Alberto Del Rio was going to be here. Long comes out and says that if Alberto is here, Show cannot lay a hand on him. He said that Del Rio is contemplating pressing charges on Show for what he did to Ricardo on Raw. Long said he and Show will both lose their jobs if that happens (the crowd cheered, really), but Show has an opponent tonight - Mark Henry.

The match never really happens as Show goes nuts and destroys Henry, laying him out. Officials and medics come out and Henry is stretchered out.

Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Tamina defeated AJ, Natalya & Kaitlyn when Tamina pinned AJ with a Samoan Drop.

Johnny Curtis cuts a promo backstage saying his debut is near and (standing near a miniature gold setup) he's going to be the Ace in the hole, pulling an Ace Card out of the hole.

Christian cuts a promo backstage saying the match against Sheamus is a bad call and he shouldn't have to prove himself to anyone.

The Usos defeated Justin Gabriel & Health Slater.

Alberto Del Rio arrived and cut a promo saying that Ricardo was destroyed by Big Show and can't provide for his own daughter anymore. He promised to dedicate his win this Sunday to Ricardo. They made it out like he was gone for good. Show came out and Del Rio chased into the crowd by The Big Show. Show was all mad and destroyed the ringside table.

Christian defeated Sheamus. Randy Orton chased him to the back, then returned to punt Sheamus to close the taping.

Surprised they didn't add Sheamus to the World Championship match, could have been a good way of not having Christian pinned again, unless they're actually going to do the title switch? I hope Ricardo isn't gone, because he is basically the only heat Del Rio gets. Looks like an alright show, nothing different though and that seems to be whats lacking on SD as of late.

Glad Sheamus isn't in the match, though I would have held off the Christian heel turn initially and had a Triple Threat at Capitol Punishment, with Christian either turning there or the week after, then continuing the feud.

No complaints here though, glad they used sometime to build towards the PPV matches and not just throw random pointless matches together kinda like the 3 on 3 tag.

Ricardo can't be gone for good, him and Del Rio together are GOLD.

I think SmackDown needs 1 or 2 more stars, somebody like John Morrison and a heel, perhaps CM Punk. Then they can start opening up the show a bit more, start some fresh feuds outside the Main Event.

Main problem is that They killed off the # 3 and 4 guys they have been promoting sincenthe draft on one night. That makes no sense, unless if Cody, Zeke, and Sin Cara are all going to leap up the card.

Absolutely bizarre they would have Sheamus punted, no idea what they're going with there.
