I'm really looking forward to HHH/Taker and Punk/Orton. These will probably be the best matches of the night. I'm not expecting a lot more than some comedy and a great moment of "YEAH FUCK YOU COLE" from the "3rd Main Event" (according to the WWE not me) and the other mains, meh, we'll have to wait and see. We've seen a ton of Cena squashing Miz so I'm not up for that one, but maybe ADR and Edge can pull one out.

I'll admit when Miz won the title I was not happy. But he's got me completely sold. Unfortunately, I think we all pretty much know that Cena is gonna win in super man fashion. Shame too because Miz hitting the SKF on Cena and picking up a clean 123 would be fucking amazing.
Punk V. Orton should be a great match imo. I don't know why everyone is so down on this one. Two truely great wrestlers going at it for no other reason other than a personal feud. It's refreshing to see Orton, admittedly my favorite wrestler, completely removed from any kind of title chase and just put in a good old feud match. As long as the match doesn't end with Punk being punted and "put out of comission" I'll be happy with this one I think.
Cole V Lawler should should just be a cluster fuck of funny moments and interferences, surprises etc... noone's watching this for the wrestling, they want to see Cole get owned and see it in humorous fashion.
And for the love of everthing holy could they please let Sheamus have a solid match and not make him look like a jobber.
And one last thing, where the hell is JoMo in this card? he needs to be involved with wrestlemania somehow

Mania is looking pretty solid so far. HHH/Taker should be great, same goes for Edge/Del Rio and Punk/Orton (given it's a flat our Brawl ala Taker/HH @ WM17). Cena/Miz as a match can be great, but dont mean to sound like a overly analytical smark but, if that's the main event of the biggest show of the year I will be utterly pissed since how many times have we seen that on RAW the last year? Cody/Rey should be the opener, and if given 10-15 minutes could be one of the best openers in recent memory. The Lawler/Cole and the LayCool/Snooki etc. b.s I think will just be time fillers/piss breaks. And throw in the MITB and 2 or 3 solid undercard matches and I think Mania will be pretty awesome. I dont know the last time I've been this stoked for Mania.

I think Lawler/Cole is much more than a toilet break match - it's a big match lol Everyone wants to see Cole get his ass handed to him.

Jomo/Trish/Snookie vs. Dolph/Vickie/Laycool - It is what it is, the mandatory "celebrity" match at Mania. I just think it's nice that they did indeed find a way to squeeze Jomo and Ziggler onto the card for their year of hard work.

(presumed) Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan - We've already seen these two can have a phenomenal match, the caliber should only be that much better at Mania. Looking forward to it.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes - Again, I loved the build for this match and I'm sure it may turn out to be one of the in ring highlights of the night. Another good match on the card.

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk - I'm not sure where or why the build for this one actually came from or why creating and destroying a new stable entirely for this feud was necessary but I suppose the build was as good as it could possibly be. I mean, considering it took Orton all of a combined 5 minutes to take out the entire Nexus I think this would have been far better suited time to build towards and actual one on one feud between the two. Not a fan of Orton's ring work but perhaps Punk can carry him to something decent.

Cole w/ Jack Swagger vs. King (Austin as ref) - Although we know this one won't be anything pretty to look at in the ring the build has been absolutely phenomenal. I think this may actually develop into something a bit more than we're all expecting. So I am looking forward to this one.

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio - Although this feud has been nothing more than a simple Royal Rumble win and arm bar fest it does have some nice build around it. These two have been tearing each other apart for weeks and it seems to be leading to the inevitable Del Rio title win. Just not sure what the hell that fat bastard Brodus Clay is doing there.

Triple H vs. Undertaker - Seriously, what more could you want on this one? It's as simple and perfect of a build as you could need. The last two remaining legends in the company squaring off in an epic battle. While I'm sure it will in no way rival HBK/Taker in the "OOOOH! AAAAHHH!" factor it's going to be something we haven't seen in a while... just a brutal, ugly Attitude Era style battle. When it comes to this kind of match I don't know if there are any two guys who can do it better justice. Keeping these guys on limited appearances until the actual event is probably also a good idea.

Miz vs. John Cena - This shit is going to tear down the house in my opinion. Probably one of the best built feuds I have seen in a long time... perhaps since Jericho/HBK. An absolutely incredibly built heel champion against the most dominant face in the company. With the added suspense of where Rock stands in all of this I think we could indeed be in for a match of the year contender and perhaps the great new saga of this era in Cena/Miz.

^I do really hope we get the Cena/Miz ultimate build up. These two compliment each other like very few in the last decade have, and if WWE wants to make The Miz a serious contender, have this be an epic match of near falls and maybe even an undisputed ending, with Miz winning of course. Cena losing to Miz at Mania, in a long, drawn out battle, does NOT hurt Cena. But having Miz defeat Cena at Mania!? That automatically cements Miz as the future of the company.

According to you, he already is the future of the company, so why does he need to win here? If he is as good as you all say he is, no single victory or loss should define him. If he's as good as you all say say he is, he should be able to get over on his natural talent and charisma no matter what the booking is.

I have a feeling if ADR wins, then Cena will, for 2 reasons
1. ADR has been on a mega push, and a loss could easily kill him
2. They prefer two face victories or a face and heel victory at mania. Otherwise the kiddies aren't happy.

Sheamus/bryan: looks lilke they could tear the roof down
rey/cody: if they make cody more of a sadistic evil guy(kinda like cm punk in his feud with rey) their match will be really good
Cole/lawler: cole and swagger will get stunnered. The end, definitely a match just for cole to get beat up. It will be entertaining though.
jomo/trish/snooki vs. ziggler/vickie/laycool: if they focus on jomo and ziggler, i see this being a good match.
orton/punk: i dont know about this one, with orton destroying all of nexus, punk seems really weak. this match will be a real toss uo.
HHH/taker: taker will probably walk away with the win. this will be a normal mania taker match: epic.
If corre are in something with big show etc, it probably wont be very significant.

WM this year will be great if there are some spectacular showings instead of star power (since there is no HBK, Batista etc)

WWE logic: Lets hype the main feuds by having someone else get involved. Christian and ADR are interacting more than ADR/Edge. Rock and Cena are interacting more than Cena/Miz, HBK is talking up the Taker/HHH feud more than they are even doing anything, Orton is punting and dealing with the Nexus more than Punk. Only match that even has a slight focus towards the two is Cole/King, which is laughable, because it isn't even a real match. How awful.

WWE logic: Lets hype the main feuds by having someone else get involved. Christian and ADR are interacting more than ADR/Edge. Yup, because it's the Rock coming out and laying the smackdown on Cena after every single match Cena has and the Miz is at home doing pre-taped promos via satellite.

And what do you mean Punk and Orton aren't interacting? Punk is at ringside every single time Orton punts a member of Punk's group in the head, the group that Punk was hoping to escort him to the ring and have a numbers advantage against Orton. Punk is always the one cutting the promos attacking Orton, always getting the last shot in when Nexxus mugs him. Are you suggesting they should be going head to head on Raw before the biggest PPV and give the fans no incentive to pay to watch them fight at Mania? That's how you properly book for your biggest show of the year.

I do agree about the Del-Rio Edge thing. HBK fits perfectly into the Taker/Trips thing because he failed on consecutive tries and retired and is Trips best buddy. And this is built as a legend trying to conquer all that is left to conquer type of storyline instead of a bitter heel-face feud and to me, at least,
this kind of build is adding a little mystique to the match. The only thing that irks me is the absolute ignorance of Trips having lost to Taker 10 years ago at Mania, that could and should be the major building block to the feud. "In those ten years since I lost to you I've been most dominating force in this company...blah blah..."shit like that.

Taker/HHH is going to be one of the greatest mania matches in a long time. IMO it will be the match that has us on the edge of our seats from start to finish. Lots of people seem to think that Shawn will get involved in this match in favor of HHH. Yes while they do go way back and they are "best buds" it would make sense for shawn to lend a helping hand to trips and at least get the assist for breaking the streak. Seems like alot of people are forgetting how spiteful shawn can be. Also remember back to those times when Trips played it up to shawn only to turn on him and lay him out with the sledge and leave him laying in a pool of blood. Would surprise me if shawn did get involved that he actually turned on HHH to get revenge, and to keep the streak alive being that if he couldn't break it he's not gonna let anyone else. I am still a bit confused as to why WWE has completely refused to recognize the fact that wrestlemania 17 was the venue for this very same match. Them ignoring this fact is making me think that there is a good chance the streak may be in danger.

Orton/punk stands to be a good match. I think punk is gonna get the win over orton. Ortons been on a role taking out all of punks crew. It only makes sense that punk gets the upper hand and drops orton.

Miz/cena is going to be a joke as is any match that cena is in. I dont really like either one of them but we've all seen cena hold the strap countless times, let someone else have some glory. I'm thinking the rock comes out and gets involved costing cena the match. Rock lays out the miz, then cena. Cena goes heel and then him and the rock fued for next few ppv's.

The rest of the matches so far seem pretty lame. I'm really hoping they add something else big to the event. I've heard MITB is out of the question but something would be good.

^^^ while I agree hhh/taker will be imensely good, I don't think it comes near the either of the hbk/taker matches, but will still be a great mania match. I don't know if it goes down as one of the greatest mania matches ever, it has a long list of matches to surpass but could definitely be the third best taker match at mania. I think they added the no dq stip mainly because its asking too much to follow up the company's best offerings two years running from two guys who haven't been in the ring for awhile, especially one with bad hips at 46 and the other who hasn't done anything in a year.

And I have to completely disagree with you're "anything cena is in is a joke" sentiment. Cena has more great matches under his belt on that card not named trips, taker, edge or mysterio. Dude was probably the best worker in north america in 2007. Cena bashing should be strictly reserved for his character, because as far as in ring work goes, he delivers in big matches the way that very few can.
