I havent actually seen it yet. Its probably very good, but not the greatest ppv of all time. I've yet to see a bad ROH show, their ppv's have been good, and theres a trend of them getting better and better. So im looking for a download, until the dvd is released.

I also heard danielson/morishima was ok, but could have been a lot better. (then again it wasnt main event)

Anyone find it odd that dave Meltzer would not rate the ladder war. A few people say he wanted to give it 5 stars, although it was too much of a brawl.

He probably doesn't want to give the match 5 stars and then have people go around having insane ladder matches in hopes of getting a high rating. And I liked Man Up more than Driven, to be honest. Only Matt Cross vs Romero was underwhelming (and it only went about 6 minutes).

Simply put... You're not going to get more wrestling in 2 hours.. EVER!

Newswire For The Week Of December 16th
Sunday, December 16, 2007

December 16th: Are you used to seeing wrestling PPVs on Sunday night? Nothing to watch tonight? You can "Man Up" in prime time TONIGHT at 7pm on iN DEMAND. See the PPV everyone from fans to critics to even Lance Storm is raving about. If you have The DISH Network your last chance to witness "Man Up" is TODAY and this Tuesday on DISH's All Day Ticket. Check it out for only $9.95-$14.95. "Ring Of Honor's third PPV, "Man Up"....was from a wrestling standpoint, up there with the best PPVs of all time. Seriously." - Dave Meltzer, 12/3/07 Wrestling Observer Newsletter
December 16th: The 12/29 & 30 Manhattan events are really taking shape. Just signed is a Tables Are Legal Match for "Final Battle 2007" on 12/30 at the Manhattan Center. It will be Kevin Steen, El Generico & Delirious vs. Adam Pearce, Brent Albright & BJ Whitmer with Shane Hagadorn. The Hangmen Three have the advantage in this one as Albright and Whitmer proved what they can do in a Tables Are Legal Match earlier this year against each other. Now imagine what they will do when they are on the same team under the guidance of Adam Pearce. Tickets are selling fast. A very limited amount of balcony seats have been released, but they will be gone soon. You can save 10% on them now at ROHwrestling.com.

December 16th: 12/29 in NYC will see ROH tape its 5th PPV. We already know most of the PPV matches. Now the non-PPV part of the card is becoming clear. Naomichi Marufuji will main event the show in a singles match against a top quality opponent. The results of the PPV will determine who Marufuji's opponent will be. The biggest three-way in ROH women's history has been signed. It will be non-title with SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey vs. Daizee Haze vs. Lacey. All three of these women have issues with each other. This is becoming ROH's hottest selling ticket. Don't risk a sellout and get your tix now at ROHwrestling.com for 10% off. See the pay-per-view with several major matches months before everyone else!!!

December 16th: The much anticipated "Glory By Honor VI" DVDs are in stock and The Big 10 Sale is back at ROHwrestling.com. You can now get tickets to 1/11 in Boston and 1/12 in Edison and over 100 ROH show, Straight Shootin' and Secrets Of The Ring DVDs for only $10 each. December 16th: Check the main page of www.ROHwrestling.com for a story about a record that The Briscoes are about to break.

December 16th: The Age Of The Fall say another video is coming this week at AgeOfTheFall.com.

December 16th: The current class is progressing well at the ROH Wrestling Academy and gaining valuable experience at ROH live events. You never know what you will learn at the ROH Wrestling School. Just last week the class was able to observe promos being taped and how they are done. The next class will start in January. Email ROHhelp@aol.com for more information.

December 16th: This will be a big ROHwrestling.com Newswire week with announcements for the Manhattan doubleshot, 1/11 in Boston, 1/12 in Edison and who knows what else.

December 18th: ROH officials are looking to make the 1/25 event in Dayton even bigger and better. A major stipulation has been added to the already signed ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Chris Hero bout. It will now be a Steel Cage Match!!! There is a chance that either McGuinness or Hero will walk into this bout as World Champion. If they do the belt will be on the line!!! McGuiness vs. Hero in a STEEL CAGE is coming to Dayton.
December 18th: Erick Stevens has spent his rookie year in ROH learning the ropes and making his name. Now he will face the biggest weekend of his ROH career on 1/11 in Boston and 1/12 in Edison. Stevens felt Austin Aries made the wrong move when he disbanded The Resilience. Now Stevens will get to show Aries what a mistake he made in the ring. It will be Aries vs. Stevens in a battle of former Resilience members on 1/11 in Boston.

December 18th: It won't get any easier for Stevens on 1/12 in Edison, NJ. He will be faced with "The Best In The World" on 1/12. It will be Stevens vs. Bryan Danielson!!! We will find out if Stevens is a future star after Boston and Edison. Don't forget, this will be your last chance to see Danielson in Boston and Edison for the first half of 2008. Get tickets for both shows for only $10 each until Thursday morning at ROHwrestling.com.

December 18th: The Big 10 Sale continues at www.ROHwrestling.com until Thursday morning. You can now save 10% on your entire order, get $10 tickets to 1/11 in Boston & 1/12 in Edison and get over 100 ROH DVDs for only $10 each. Also out now at ROHwrestling.com is "Glory By Honor VI" weekend featuring Mitsuharu Misawa. Check out "Glory By Honor VI: Night 2" from Manhattan as Misawa defends the GHC Heavyweight Title against KENTA in what experts are calling Misawa's best match in a long time. This is one of those must get ROH DVDs that also includes: Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Jimmy Jacobs & The Necro Butcher in a violent Street Fight; Austin Aries vs. Chris Hero; Jack Evans, Ruckus & Jigsaw vs. Roderick Strong, Davey Richards & Rocky Romero; Bryan Danielson vs. Takeshi Morishima in another battle in their brutal series; Naomichi Marufuji vs. Claudio Castagnoli; Brent Albright & BJ Whitmer vs. Kevin Steen & Delirious; Chris Hero vs. El Generico plus more!!! Don't miss the DVD that everyone is sure to be raving about.

December 18th: Check out an in depth article on Nigel McGuinness on the main page of ROHwrestling.com.

December 18th: Bushwacker Luke will be a special guest on 12/29 & 30 in Manhattan. He will be available for autographs.

December 18th: Roderick Strong guarantees that he and Rocky Romero won't go down in two straight falls to The Briscoes at the 12/29 PPV taping in NYC. Strong & Romero will challenge Jay & Mark Briscoe in a 2/3 Falls Match. The Briscoes have won 8 consecutive falls in 2/3 Falls Matches. Strong says that he and Rocky will pull out all the stops to become ROH World Tag Team Champions. There is nothing like a Briscoes PPV match. You can still witness it live by getting tickets at ROHwrestling.com. Act now and avoid the sellout.

December 19th: We are only a week and a half away from the Manhattan Center doubleshot and it is not too late to get great seats to both shows. Thanks to you ROH has sold out all six events it has held at the Manhattan Center. Don't risk another sellout and get your tickets now at ROHwrestling.com. Another non-PPV match has been added to the 12/29 card. It is a unique three-way pitting Jigsaw vs. The Necro Butcher vs. Matt Cross. How will high-flying mix with brawling?
December 19th: The main event for "Final Battle 2007" on 12/30 at the Manhattan Center has been set. Takeshi Morishima was ROH World Champion for almost eight months. He wants his rematch. ROH officials told him that he could wait until next year to get a singles match or he could take the final spot in the Four Way Elimination World Title Match on 12/30. Morishima wants his rematch now and will take the final spot in the elimination bout. What makes this even more interesting is that Morishima and hated rival Bryan Danielson will once again be in the same match. The entire year comes down to "Final Battle 2007" with the 12/29 Nigel McGuiness/Austin Aries winner vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Takeshi Morishima vs. Chris Hero. Who will walk out of the Manhattan double shot as World Champion?

December 19th: ROH producers were tipped off that Delirious had something to say. He could be found deep in the stairwell of an abandoned building. One brave ROH producer volunteered to go. He was shocked to find Delirious with no mask and a chain. The incident where Adam Pearce ripped Delirious' mask, bloodied him and then hanged him with a chain in Chicago has sent Delirious sliding to another level of insanity. You can witness all this now at www.ROHvideos.com in the latest ROH Video Wire. If you decipher the promo you will find out that Delirious has challenged Adam Pearce to a Dog Collar Match in Chicago. Pearce has accepted and it has been signed for 1/26 when ROH returns to the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, IL.

December 19th: The Big 10 Sale at www.ROHwrestling.com ends tomorrow morning. Get tickets for 1/11 in Boston at the great, new Boston University location and 1/12 in Edison for only $10. There are also over 100 ROH DVDs available for $10 each. On top of that, you can save 10% on your entire order so the tickets and DVDs are actually less than $10. January 7th: ROH is ready to kick off 2008 this Friday in Boston with the debut at Boston University and this Saturday at the now historic Inman Sports Center in Edison, NJ. Daniel Puder is ready to put on his gear and compete in a ROH ring. What does the MMA star bring to the table? We'll find out this weekend. Larry Sweeney has promised a total destruction of his opponents in both Boston and Edison. The fans in Manhattan had fun at Puder's expense chanting "You Can't Wrestle" and now Puder will have an opportunity to shut them up.

January 7th: All eyes will be on new FIP World Heavyweight Champion Erick Stevens this weekend. Stevens will defend the belt against two of ROH's elite. This Friday will see Stevens vs. his former Resilience leader Austin Aries. This Saturday will have Stevens vs. Bryan Danielson. Stevens will put the FIP belt on the line against Aries and if he retains he will put it up again vs. Danielson. Stevens says he's starting chapter two of his ROH career. We will see what kind of a player he is after this weekend. Stevens says that the FIP World Heavyweight Title is pushing him to be a better wrestler and he is hungry to secure his spot at the top. There is no tougher test than Aries and Danielson in one weekend. Will Stevens prove that he is a top player in Boston and Edison? Will he be able to retain the FIP Title against two of the top athletes going today? Things are getting very interesting when it comes to the FIP World Heavyweight Title.

January 7th: Larry Sweeney says he will have a historic announcement concerning his clients Chris Hero and Sara Del Rey this Saturday in Edison. We have no idea what Sweeney has planned.

January 7th: Look for the new ROH Video Wire later today at www.ROHvideos.com with lots of highlights from the Manhattan doubleshot. The Video Wire will have the Lacey vs. Tammy Sytch altercation, a look at the ROH World Tag Team Title change, Rocky Romero in action and much more. Watch it for FREE later today at ROHvideos.com.

January 7th: The Big 10 Sale is back at www.ROHwrestling.com until Thursday morning. You can now get tickets for this Friday in Boston, this Saturday in Edison, Jan. 25th in Dayton and Jan. 26th in Chicago for only $10 each. There are over 100 ROH show, Straight Shootin', Secrets Of The Ring, Best Of and FIP DVDs for just $10 each. Plus, you can save 10% on your entire order no matter what you buy. This makes the DVDs and tickets actually less than $10 each. Check the main page of ROHwrestling.com for all the details.

January 7th: Last time in Edison, Jay Briscoe battled The Necro Butcher in a wild and bloody brawl. Necro pulled out the win when the rest of The Age Of The Fall wheeled out Mark Briscoe covered in barbed wire. Now the stakes will be increased. It will be The Briscoes vs. Necro Butcher & Tyler Black in an Anything Goes Match. The Briscoes promise that this will be one of the wildest matches New Jersey has ever seen. The Briscoes will have Daizee Haze to make sure Lacey doesn't get involved. Get ready for violence in Edison and witness this match for less than $10 if you act now at ROHwrestling.com.

January 7th: Check the main page of ROHwrestling.com for a new article on Nigel McGuinness with a timeline of his frustration and what led to him breaking down backstage after his 12/30 promo. McGuinness is back in action on the current Pro Wrestling NOAH tour.

Save 33% on new ROH DVDs like "Reckless Abandon" from Dayton with the mother of all Tag Team Scrambles, Roderick Strong vs. Austin Aries in a 30 Minute Ironman Match, Bryan Danielson vs. The Necro Butcher and more. We want to make ROH affordable for you. Go out and experience ROH live as tickets to all ROH events are 33% off. This includes the 4/11 return to Boston and 4/12 return to Edison. Check the main page of www.ROHwrestling.com for details, but act now because the 33% off sale ends this Wednesday morning.

January 14th: Erick Stevens had a groundbreaking weekend in Boston and Edison as he defeated both Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson to retain his FIP World Heavyweight Title. Stevens credits being a champion as pushing him to up his game and reach the next level. Stevens really showed the fans of Boston and Edison what kind of character he is when he insisted on pinning both of his top notch challengers. Stevens is just getting started. He has agreed to make his already scheduled 1/25 bout in Dayton against Davey Richards a FIP World Heavyweight Title Match. We are watching a young talent emerge in Erick Stevens.

January 14th: The tests for Stevens will continue on 1/26 in Chicago. Austin Aries has challenged Stevens to a Dream Partner Tag Team Match. Stevens has accepted. Aries has revealed his choice to be Bryan Danielson. These two competitive rivals showcased what kind of teamwork they are capable of on 12/30 in Manhattan. Stevens has countered by choosing a man that he teamed up with to gain a big win last time in Chicago. It will be Aries & Danielson vs. Stevens & Jay Briscoe on 1/26 in Chicago. Save 33% on tickets now.

January 14th: One pair of belts that won't be on the line in Manhattan are the Intergender Heavyweight Tag Team Titles Of The World that Larry Sweeney introduced last Saturday in Edison, NJ. Sweeney crowned his clients Chris Hero & Sara Del Rey as the first champions. This is what is known as "agent talk." It is just a ploy so Sweeney can say his clients have more credentials so he can justify raising their fee. Sweeney told ROH officials to raise ticket prices so his new "champions" can be paid more. ROH officials have stood up to Sweeney and told him that they refuse to recognize these obviously ridiculous titles. Sweeney says that we have not heard the last of this issue.

January 14th: ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness will defend the ROH World Title against Go Shiozaki at the historic Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan on January 20th. Check the article on the main page of www.ROHwrestling.com for much more information including some info on Shiozaki coming to ROH.

January 14th: Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black retained the ROH World Tag Team Titles in an insane Ultimate Endurance last Friday in Boston. The match was so wild that ROH wants to bring it to the Midwest. All the factions and teams are running neck-to-neck as challengers. The scheduled Tag Team Scramble in Chicago will now be changed to an Ultimate Endurance. It is elimination rules. The first fall with all four teams is a Tag Team Scramble, the second fall with the remaining three teams will be I Quit and the third fall with the last two teams will be for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. No one can present action like ROH and Ultimate Endurance fueled by faction warfare.

Wonderful! Now Stevens can beat both Aries and Danielson at the same time. In fact, since they're so hell-bent on pushing Stevens... Why not make it a handicap match? Have Stevens beat Aries, Danielson and Jay at the same time!

Why don't you like Erick Stevens? I like him, he gives me that "Home Grown" feel. He was virtually unknown coming from FIP, and has shown me that he can compete with the likes of Danielson, Morishima, Strong, etc. He still needs to work on his personality a bit, Chooo Chooo is...well...you know, a bit on the cheesy side. Overall, I think Stevens is a fine wrestler.

He's just so bland. He is pretty good in the ring and he's stepped up in big matches, but I just don't think he's ready for the push he's getting. I hope he makes me change my opinion about him, but for now I'm not a big fan of the man.

And the Choo-Choo needs to go, that's a given.

I think they are pushing him a bit too fast. Yes, winning the FIP title was the right time, but beating the two current cornerstones of ROH back to back for a rookie, is a bit much for me.

I like Erick Stevens ring wise but hate the gimmick. What the hell is up with the train it seems really kidish to me. Beating Danielson is a bad thing in my mind hes suppose to be the man who was in roh from the start and there top guy.

Its just a couple of wins, its not like The ROH Staples are supposed to win every night. I mean the veterans should be putting the young talent over, we all know Danielson wont be in Ring Of Honor forever. The eye injury was just another example why Danielson belongs in a major, he is simply too valuable. Besides, I doubt we will see a Erik Stevens title reign anytime soon. ROH still has guys like Strong, Hero, & Jay Briscoe who are in line for that.

So all in all, a win is a win. Its not very significant. IMO all it does is solidify Stevens as a competitor, nobody is gonna lose respect for Danielson because of a loss. We all know what he can do.
