Would be nice to see some real drastic changes in ratings even if it was down.

Erm...guess I'll keep updating this again even though the rating has been the same every week for the last 3 years

Last night's 9/1 Impact Wrestling drew a 1.06 (1.1) cable rating, with 1.4 million viewers.

This is down from last week's 1.21 rating with 1.62 million viewers.

Dixie Carter posted the following on Twitter:

"Two million viewers on Thursday's IMPACT WRESTLING on SpikeTV - our most watched episode ever!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!"

Eric Bischoff also commented:

"Ever notice how the shows that the dirt sites put over get the lowest ratings and the ones they bury get the highest? hmmmm."

The official rating was a 1.35 rating with 2,019,000 viewers.
Eric must have internet wrestling sites on his IE or whatever browser he uses tabs at all times because he forever talks about it anytime he can. Not like the rating is off the charts or anything and don't recall them every "bury" it so he needs to chill.

Meh, good for them getting their highest amount of viewers, but as ever with TNA they'll struggle to keep the high numbers.

Note that the Impact after Bound For Glory always does big numbers. Last year it did a 1.41 which was even bigger than this rating. Since only a few fans buy the PPVs a lot tune in the next day after the biggest PPV of the year to see what happened. They were probably expecting to see Roode as champion but when they didn't see it they tuned out. I would argue that if Roode had won at BFG that the rating would have been higher than this.

Last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling did a 1.14 (1.1) cable rating, down from last week’s 1.35 (1.4) to about average TNA numbers. The show did hourly ratings of 1.21 (1.2) and 1.07 (1.1) and was up against the World Series and Beavis & Butthead’s return to TV.

The show’s quarter-hour ratings breakdown was as follows:

Q1: 1.30 – James Storm’s opening talking segment with appearances by Fortune, Samoa Joe, and Sting
Q2: 1.20 – Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam
Q3: 1.20 – Knockouts talking segment, Gail Kim vs. Tara
Q4: 1.14 – Eric Young vs. Robbie E. for the Television Title
Q5: 1.15 – Eric and Garrett Bischoff
Q6: 1.05 – Flair and Bischoff backstage, video packages, the first-half of Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray
Q7: 1.01 – Finish of Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray, post-match interview
Q8: 1.06 – Robert Roode vs. Samoa Joe, Bischoffs and Flair

No surprise that it dropped by half a million viewers. The post BFG Impact regularly draws a high rating and fans clearly didn't like what they saw so they tuned out. Interesting how the rating keeps dropping as the show goes on.
