Well there is a good roster to work with good luck should be good. Ill give your first show a read.

Also the fact that you put past champions in there as well is a smart move because it can be used to hype up feuds saying things like "We have beaten you before for the titles we deserve another shot." Or "A tournament where former champions only are allowed to enter in it." But you get the idea, it is a good thing.

Chapter Five ".X Marks the Spot"

After the departure of Hulk Hogan at the beginning and the failed tenure of Paul Heyman as Head Booker, 2005 wasn't the best year for the NWA. Once thought of a promising eventual challenger to the powerhouse WWE now found themselves at the crossroads once again. This time though instead of going outside of the NWA family they will try to find their new success from the inside.

Thanks to RAW leaving Spike TV, NWA landed a primetime slot for a new show "Impact" to be televised on Thursday's night nationwide. It was quickly decided that this would become the flagship show of the brand due to his broader reach of viewers then their "Xplosion" broadcasts on FoxSports on early Saturday evenings. With Gabe Sapolsky leaving his Ring of Honor duties to take over the major brand, he saw this as his time to make his niche on the business.

"Xplosion" became the exclusive brand of the X-Divsion taking stars like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and current X-Champion CM Punk and giving them their own platform to show American what they can do and they took full advantage of it.

Late 2005 and most of 2006 saw a change in the NWA as younger, more highflying stars took center stage on television. The vast developmental system paid it's dividends first with the high flying trio of the "Human Highlights" which consisited of Brian Kendrick, Matt Sydal and Jack Evans. These three quickly became fan favorites and went on to beat the the very first X-Division Tag Team Champions, "The Havana PitBulls". Chris Sabin, Teddy Hart, Austin Aries,Homicide and Petey Williams was another bunch that didn't ruin their chances as they battled over the new NWA Television Title during different times Only one man though took centerstage on "Xplosion" and that was CM Punk. As the champion at the time of the brand split, Punk found him as the main eventer and he proved his worth. Punk turned away challenges from Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Bryan Danielson during the year, often stealing the show from bigger stars from "Impact" on the pay per views. The only blemish on the resume of Punk as champion was losing the title to the legendary, Jushin Liger while on a tour of Japan but only to win it back a week later before heading back home from the states. Punk was the man but each defense was getting tougher.

The rest of the roster had their moments too. Low Ki though was the engima of the brand, always being matched up with big stars in feuds but never really coming out on top in any of them. His matches with Bryan Danielson was especially fantastic. The X-Division tag team scene was exciting to watch as the veteran team of Brian Lawler and Scotty Taylor hooked up in entertaining feuds with the Havana Pitbulls and the "The Badstreet Boyz" (York/Matthews combo). Eric Young found himself as the comedic relief for the show often teaming up in skits with backstage interviewer Jeremy Borash. The Naturalz ( who earlier in the year held the X-Divison Tag Team titles before falling out of favor quickly), Sonny Siaki and Sonjay Dutt found themselves really unable to find their niche and were candidates to being there spots to developmental stars.

The X-Division split was a success to fans and critics and the rating for the show was increasing every week by mostly word of mouth and the incredible matches from the pay per views. But that wasn't the only effect Gabe had on the NWA.

The bigger show "Impact" faced it's own identity crisis. They had lost their big name stars and their new fresh talent to "Xplosion" then the announcement was made of Jeff Jarrett taking time off because of health problems with his wife.Dusty Rhodes was brought in as the new on-air owner of the NWA but the importance of the role was downplayed allowing Rhodes to moreless just making matches on-air.

The show was missing on known name talent but help came.Christian Cage and Matt Hardy couldn't have left the WWE at a better time. Cage slipped right in as the number one heel in the promotion as Matt reunited with brother Jeff giving the NWA one of the most popular teams in history.

Christian quickly made his intentions known challenging NWA World Champion, Sting, upon his debut. Christian defeated the champ at "Bound For Glory" thanks to the help of the new young tag team called "Loud & Proud" of "All-Star" Antonio Banks and "Kamikaze" Ken Anderson. The trio quickly bonded as they formed the most loudest and cockiest stables in recent history. "Loud and Proud" became NWA Tag Team Champions a few weeks later on an episdoe of "Impact" defeating the Hardys Boys ( who won the titles form the Team 3-D) for the titles. After regaining the titles in rematches, Cage found himself in the crosshairs of Sean O"Haire. But in the early part of the feud the numbers game was too much for O'Haire to overcome but after getting help from old friends Chuck Palumbo and Mark Jindrak. O'Haire became a two-time NWA World Champion defeating Christian Cage at Slammiversary. But the title reign was short-lived as Cage regained the title at the next pay per view by using a steel chair conchairto while the referee was unconcious with the help form Tyson Tomko. The surprise shook the NWA as Tomko became the enforcer of the group and the three showed their appreciation in helping him win the US Title from Monty Brown. Christian Cage had become the man in the NWA with the NWA Tag Champions "Loud and Proud" and the NWA United States champion, Tyson Tomko, at his side.

The rest of the "Impact" roster found themselves in various roles in the time span. Sting after losing the title found himself the target of James Mitchell and his stable of Abyss and the his old nemesis, Vampiro. Raven and Rhino found themselves as the left overs from the failed ECW storyline and found themselves in a feud against each other. Their hardcore matches was a joy for fans you still yearned for those matches. America's Most Wanted, once the darlings of the tag team scene, found themselves out of the spot thanks to the Hardys and into a feud with the Brothers Samoa. After the end of it James Storm found his partner injured at the hands of Ekmo and Kimon and on his own. 3 Live Crew found themselves a man short as Konnan battled injuries and was unable to wrestle but found themselves irked by the team of Disco Inferno and Rico. The two vastly different teams was delight to fans on the mic more than the ring as the BG James and Disco exchanges were priceless in comedy value. Young wrester, Robby Roode, debuted on Impact and instantly came to dislike Dustin Rhodes. The feud was usually used as a filler in shows but Roode showed glimpses of future stardom. Team 3-D took time off after losing the titles to the Hardys and then toured Japan, they are set to come back soon.

The changes in "Impact" changed the company's standing as it gained viewers over the "ECW Invasion" storyline. After almost a year on the job, Gabe Sapolsky found himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of wrestling. What would be the next step in the company's development?

Chapter Six "The Golden Era"

Although 2006 wasn't as big a year as 2004 was for the NWA, it was still seen as a stepping stone for the young promotion. Head Booker, Gabe Sapolsky, turned their fortunes around with going with the younger home-grown talent instead of bringing in bigger names in from the outside. All though the two NWA television shows weren't close in ratings to the WWE's they were slowly gaining ground as word was spreading about the new NWA style. NWA President, Dixie Carter, saw the year 2007 as a time to strike while the iron was hot.

Their big plans for 2007 was to finally get on the road doing house shows and to have some live television shows. An international tour was also planned to have NWA tour Japan, Mexico and Europe at various times of the calendar year. The NWA felt this was an area where the WWE has ignored and creating a fanbase in those countries would greatly benefit the NWA. They planned also to decrease the price of the pay per views and have them brand seperated. They believe due to the popularity of the X-Division show "Xplosion" they warrented their own shows and that people would pay to see them also. But the biggest plans was to get some more big name talent and to find someone to take some of the pressure off of Gabe Sapolsky when it came to making personel decisions. They didn't know that WWE would help them out in both those problems.

At the tail end of 2006 both Kurt Angle and Jim Ross was having their own problems with WWE owner, Vince McMahon, Angle didn't know if we wanted to still do their great amount of traveling that was a must to be a WWE superstar where Ross moreless felt unappreciated by the company.
In November of 2006 the NWA held a press conference announcing the hiring of both men.

Gabe Sapolsky welcomed the Jim Ross additiion to the front office, as Ross was given control of the "Impact" wrestling program's talent where he brought in Jim Cornette as Head Booker for the show. Gabe was given the reigns of the "Xplosion" brand where he brought in Dave Prazak and Scott D"Amore to join him in the creative team.

The hiring of Ross also shook up the announcing teams for the shows as Mike Tenay didn't have to pull double duties on both shows as play by play announcer and only had to concentrate on "Xplosion". The color commentators were also rearranged as Jim Ross teamed up with Dusty Rhodes on "Impact" and Tenay teamed up with the recently retired , Raven on "Xplosion". Christy Hemme was signed as the backstage reporter/interviewer for "Impact" while Jeremy Borash got the gig for "Xplosion". These hirings gave what the NWA believed to be a more television friendly group of personalities.

After meeting with Gabe Sapolsky and other NWA front office types, Jim Ross put his stamp on the roster in the next month. As the following moves were made for both shows after deliberations from the NWA's front office.

Also for the first time in the NWA, Jim Ross felt that managers and valets need to be more used. As a result Larry Sweeney was brought up from developmental to be a manager on "Xplosion", Ted Dibiase Sr. was brought in for a managerial role on "Impact". Traci Brooks, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Natayla Niedhardt were brought up from NWA affiliates to fill various valet slots throughout the company.

The feeling around the NWA was all the pieces were now here and with the additions of Jim Ross and Kurt Angle that the world will take notice that they were here for the long haul. The moves also shown the difference in Ross's and Sapolsky's talent evaluations as Ross chose to go with more veteran types and Gabe went for the more athletic, younger choices. The two men agreed on one thing and that was that they both wanted to bring down the WWE and with all the new pieces in place the NWA's "Golden Era" was about to begin.

Chapter Seven "The Big Time"

Everybody was waiting for 2007 to be the year that the NWA made it big and they weren't disapointed as first of Kurt Angle showed up at Genesis and stopped the Christian Coalition's attack on Sting after Christian's successful defense. The beatdown though resulted in Sting being out for the first six months of 2007 and Angle taking over the role as the lead face on "Impact."

At that point an extremely intense, Kurt Angle set his sights on the NWA World Title. After weeks of attacks from the Coalition, Angle finally got his hands on Ken Anderson and kayfabed broke his ankle as the rest of the Coalition watched out, putting Anderson on the shelf the rest of '07. Finally Angle took home the title at Lockdown as he defeated all three members of the Coalition by himself. Angle withstood the rematches from Cage and Angle became more popular then at any point of his career.

Tyson Tomko's bad-ass persona as United States Champion, scarred off many challengers as he racked up a pretty impressive undefeated streak along the way. That was until he came across, Sean O'Haire. While Cage was worrying about his NWA World Title and expected the other members of the Coalition to do the same, Tomko was left alone in his feud. Sean O'Haire won the US Title in February on an episode of "Impact" as the rest of the Coalition was too worried about Kurt Angle. The loss of the United States Title strained the relationship of Cage and Tomko that helped in Angle winning the World Title at Lockdown. O'Haire then found himself in a feud with Dustin Rhodes who took on a dark persona "Black Reign". O'Haire and Black Reign embarked on an odd feud for the next few months with O'Haire retaining the title at the end.

The NWA World Tag Team Title was total chaos after the Ken Anderson injury forcing "Loud & Proud" to vacate the titles and a tournament was announced to fill them. Soon teams were popping out of the woodwork. A team of two English soccer fans debuted on "Impact" called the "Hooligans". Nigel McGuinness and Paul Burchill showed a smash-mouth style as they seemed to like enflicting pain on their opponents. A complete opposite team also debuted as "The Beautiful People" debuted a few weeks later. Johnny Superstar and Frankie Hollywood with valets, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, proclaimed themselves as the next great tag teams and showed that they would use anything to win. Finally the new owner of the NWA, Ted Dibiase debuted his "Money Talks" team of Andrew Martin and Matt Morgan and their associate and Dibiase's protege, Robert Roode. The two big men soon showed their incredibile power in a series of squash matches before the tourney.

Established teams already in the NWA signed up as The Dudleys returned to action as did Chris Harris to unite with James Storm as America's Most Wanted. After getting dumped by 3 Live Crew, BG James called in an old friend as Kip James joined the NWA reforming one of wrestling's most famous teams. The Samoans also joined but found themselves with their own problems as their uncle Kishi Fatu came to the NWA desperately trying to get them to change their savage ways of doing things. Finally the final slot in the tournament went to James Mitchell's duo of wrestlers, Abyss and Vampiro.

The tournament went on great as key moments was the breakup of the Samoans as Kimo left Ekmo to fend for himself against "Money Talks" as they picked up the victory. Breaking up was a common theme as the much beloved "America's Most Wanted" did the same after Storm kicking Harris and allowing "The Beautiful People" to advance. "The James Gang" didn't show no rust as the defeated "The Hooligans". The Dudleys and Abyss/Vampiro fought all over the arena resulting in a double countout not allowing either team to advance. In the second round, "Money Talks" thanks to NWA owner, Ted Dibiase received a bye as "The James Gang" defeated "The Beautiful People" showing everybody that they can still find dirty when needed. Finally in the finals "The James Gang" won the titles only to get beated down by "Money Talks" afterwards, then owner, Ted Dibiase, came out and made the match the best out of 3 falls and after the continued match ended "Money Talks" became champions. Their reign was short lived as "The James Gang" added Traci Brooks as their manager and as she distracted Robert Roode in her own way, the Gang won the NWA titles from "Money Talks".

In two other notable feuds on "Impact", Rhino found himself attacked by the disturbed Heidenreich.
The two men wrestled in many hardcore matches over the next few months with finally the feud ended with Rhino as the winner. Two newcomers came to the NWA bragging about how tough they were and soon found themselves at odds. Rodney Mack and Finlay was a fighter's dream. They beat down each other week after week. Finally in what was called a "Belfast Brawl" match, Finlay rendered Mack motionless for a 10 count claiming the NWA toughest guy title for himself.

The first six months of 2007 was an exciting for the NWA as television ratings and pay per view buyrates rose each month. Kurt Angle as a face was an unexpected success as his merchandise easily overtook Sting for the number one seller at the arenas. For all the great action on "Impact" though it didn't hold a candle to "Xplosion".

On "Xplosion" CM Punk had undoubtly set himself apart from the roster but that was about to change. After being influenced by Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles showed a never before seen dark side as he was convinced that CM Punk and Samoa Joe had came and stole the X-Division stardom from there. The new attitude was displaced first as the two took out Bryan Danielson and put him out of action for months. When the Hardy's debuted on "Xplosion" they were recruited by both pairs seperately. Jeff was being pulled as a "X-Division original" by Styles and Daniels as Matt was seen as an outsider trying to steal the new found glory for himself. Although the Hardys stayed together in front of the camera, it seemed they had their doubts together. Soon new "Xplosion Commisioner" , Raven put all 6 men elmination in a match for the X-Division World Title at Lockdown with one man coming out on top. Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels were the first two men to be eliminated followed by the champion CM Punk leaving AJ Styles with the Hardys. Jeff and Matt shook hands and went to work on Styles. But their signals got crossed as Matt got hit by the "Whisper in the Wind" as AJ moved and got the cover on Matt. Styles won the title after a missed swanton from Jeff setting up the "Styles Clash" for the win. The Hardys showed their disgust with the mix up but shook hands and hugged after the match much to the delight of the crowd. The Style's championship reign stayed on course as he kept the title after matches against both the Hardys seperatley and CM Punk's rematch.

Teddy Hart's NWA Televison Title reign was short lived again as he lost it quickly to a debuting rookie Kofi Kingston. Kingston was a hit with fans after he defeated Hart in the rematch. He soon found himself sneak attacked by the dangerous Low Ki. The two men feuded for monts but Low Ki was never able to gain the title away.

The "X-Division World Tag Team Champions" the Human Highlights found themselves new enemies as Chris Sabin and Austin Aries formed a tag team. The unique high-flying three man unit of Sydal, Kendrick and Evans kept the challengers off balance as they never knew who of the three was competing. After many unsuccessful challenges by Sabin and Aries they finally won after interference from the debuting Alex Shelley. Shelley joined up with Sabin and Aries and formed "The Motor City Machine Guns". The two 3 men teams stole shows from then on in feuds as the devious trio of the MCMG coming out on top each time.

In other action, Homicide found himself disgusted by the antics of the debuting Carlito Colon, calling him a disgrace to the Latino community. Homicide unveiled his secret weapon as Hernandez came out of the crowd on "Impact" helping Homicide work over Carlito putting him out of action for weeks. Carlito returned and challenged the newly name "LAX" to a match against himself and a mystery partner. Carlito announced his partner as Chavo Guerrero Jr. as they defeated LAX in the matchup. The feud became hot and heavy as LAX labeled them as not real Latinos, The feud is still hotter then ever.

The Bricoe Brothers debuted as fan favorites as the crowd took too their style but it rubbed Teddy Hart the wrong way. Hart after losing his TV title started to come out and run down the Briscoes after their victorious matches and soon debuted his cousin Harry Smith as his partner. "The Hart Attack" soon started their feud with the Briscoes after attacking them after a match. Soon Nattie Neidhardt debuted with her cousins and became a key factor in the feud ofter interfering allowing her cousins to get the win.

A new face was seen lurking in the locker room of the X-Division stars named "Sexy" Larry Sweeney. Sweeney was self proclaimed as the greatest manager alive and offered his services to many superstars but was rebuked each time. His skits though was a hit with fans as he showed himself to be an entertaining star that needed a bigger niche in the show.

Last but not least two more new wrestlers debuted in the first 6 months of 2007 and that was Jay Lethal and Jerry Lynn. Lynn mostly criticized the younger Lethal for being too nice and not showing a mean streak and Lynn would show him what it takes to be a star. Lynn beat down Lethal any chance he got over the next months each time telling him to smile afterwards. Finally a new Lethal showed up for the matches, the new focused Lethal was more than Lynn can handle as they stole the "Xplosion" shows more than a couple of times with their matches. Finally Lethal and Lynn wrestled in a "Loser leaves the NWA Match" which Lethal came out victorious.

The NWA was on a roll like never before. When they left Tampa for house shows they were selling out, the ratings were on the rise for both shows and the new X-Divison pay per views were selling alright. The hirings of the new wrestlers and Jim Ross was deemed a success by fans and critics alike but the NWA knew they couldn't rest yet. Thanks to Ross's old role in the WWE, he was friends with many top wrestling stars and knew the extent of the contracts with the WWE. The NWA targeted what stars they wanted and made their plans to get them. Althought 2007 had been great it was only half over and the wrestling world was about be scrutinized like never before.

Another good read and another shake up in the show. There's one thing that I really want to ask you though... who's Frankie Hollywood and Johnny Superstar? :p

Probably guys that he has made up? not sure ^ But L.. it does look great. Though I agree with Rose this is getting a bit much with the chapters. I mean at this rate by the time the shows will start people would have forgotten about this and have moved on. Though it doesn't mean it is isn't good, but my thoughts are you are taking too long to get to the point and start the shows.

Chapter Eight..."Tragedy Hits"

The wrestling and rest of the world was shocked on June 25. 2007 when Chris, Nancy and Daniel was found dead in their Fayetteville, Georgia home. As the days went by the world was in shock and looking for reasons behind the tragedy. The media soon linked steroids to Chris Benoit and a dark cloud hovered over the wrestling business.

Steroid was the hot topic and the established WWE was on the front burner where the newer NWA was given moreless a free pass from the media. Vince was everywhere on the news television shows getting criticized for his company's drug policies. Dixie Carter and Vince McMahon was booked on Larry King Live together later in the week. As things were civil at first, King got things riled up when asking about the difference in the appearance in wrestler's bodies between the two companies. Vince took this an attack and quickly went on the defensive and pointed out that NWA knowingly hired past drug offenders as Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle and Chavo Guerrero went no problem at all and that the NWA wasn't as innocent as the media made them out to be. As King calmed Vince down, Dixie, calmly, stated after interviewing each wrestler's case she found that the main cause of each wrestler's drug use was because of reasons that weren't factors in the NWA promotion. That she made sure that eached wrestler went to a rehab facility before they were signed and agreed to mutiple drug tests when the NWA seemed they were necessary. Vince wanted to know what the factors where that weren't in the NWA, Dixie cited the less travel, more time to spend with their family and more wrestler-friendly contracts. The look on Vince's face showed that he knew he has just been upstaged on national television and spent the rest of the show in a much docile manner. Dixie ended her part of the show stating that it wasn't her responsibility to know all her wrestler's actions but it was her responsibilty to not create an enviroment to cause them to make the wrong ones.

Vince McMahon and the WWE faced a publicity nightmare and it only got worse when news came out that the doctor that prescribed the drugs to Chris Benoit also sent drugs to current WWE stars Edge, Randy Orton, Gregory Helms and Rey Mysterio Jr. Vince McMahon decided there was only one thing he could do to save his company and he immediately fired all four wresters for the roles in the drug scandal. This sent shockwaves through the wrestling world as Vince waived their competition clause in their contracts and allowed each wrestler to take their name, gimmicks and anything else they did in the WWE with them. The WWE was soon applauded for the swift actions on the matter as Vince hoped that Dixie Carter would fall into the trap he just laid.

The NWA knew the possible problems of signing the tainted superstars but Dixie Carter convinced the NWA Board of Directors that she could handle the media backlash. She set up a press conference the next week announcing the four signings. At the press conference the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle and Chavo Guerrero was present as their names were linked also in the report. Carter went out to describe the pros and cons she debated before signing them and it was the same with these four men. She stated that each one of the four would have to go to a rehab facility and face a heavy drug testing schedule as part of their new contracts. She ended the press conference as stating that people make mistakes and should be given second chances. Each of the four wrestlers took time and fielded questions and told their stories unti the press conference ended.

In interviews after that, NWA personel never again mentioned the WWE's involvement went it came to drugs in wrestling, the media had said it all. No matter what happened the WWE and Vince McMahon were tainted.

Another great chapter, even though their is alot of chapters they are needed for what you have done. You have taken a company from the beginning and wrote what has happened over the years making certain wrestlers seem possible with in the company than it being totally unrealistic.

Chapter Nine..."The War is On"

The NWA's television ratings skyrocketed as fans tuned it to see how the banished WWE stars debut in the promotion. Each week anticipation grew as the NWA beat the WWE in ratings for the first time ever. Every wrestling fan and critic had their different scenario on how to do it but the NWA had their own ideas.

During the Benoit tragedy, Kurt Angle cemented himself as the face of the NWA promotion and for the rest of 2007 he showed it in his title defenses.

In the summer of 2007, NWA toured Japan for the first time and Angle successively defended the World Championshiop against The Great Muta, Bob Sapp and Kensuke Sasaki on consecutive nights. Once back in the United States, Angle found himself in a feud with the NWA owner, Ted Dibiase after Dibiase offered Angle a job that the champ refused. Dibiase challenged Angle to a match against a secret opponent of his choosing which Angle accepted. As the weeks went on stipulations were added as Angle put the title on the line against one million dollars of Ted's own money. At Bound for Glory, "The Giant" Paul Wight (who was a free agent at the time) was announced as the challenger. This was a shock to fans who thought either Edge or Randy Orton had to be the opponent. Angle came out victorious when he made Wight tap out to the Ankle Lock. Dibiase as a result to the loss, had to sell the NWA. Wight was never seen of again on NWA televison and resigned with the WWE later that year.

Weeks of specualtion went by on who the new owner would be and they were answered as John Layfied (who left the WWE during the steriod scandal when his contract was up) was introduced as the new owner. Layfield took over where Dibiase left off in his feud with Angle. Fans went wild as Layfield introduce Rated RKO as the challengers to Angle's World Championship in a handicap match. Over the next few weeks, Angle withstood constant beatdowns by the two men before their matchup. At Turning Point, Rated RKO was on the way of one of them becoming champion when Sting returned to the NWA and interfered on Angle's behalf. Angle took the help as he Angle Slammed Edge to retain the title. At Final Resolution, Angle took on Orton successively as Sting defeated Edge in one on one matchups.

In the United States Champions scene, Sean O'Haire kept it rolling also as he withstood challenges from upstarts James Storm, Rodney Mack and Robby Roode during late summer and early fall. On an episode of Impact in November he was challenged by a debuting Booker T for the title live that night. Booker T with help from Sharmell defeated O'Haire in his first NWA match. The two wrestled again at Final Resoultion only to see Sharmell get involved again as Booker T retained.

In tag team action, the champs "The James Gangs" found themself in the continous feud with Ted Dibiase's team "Money Talks". As BG James mocked Dibiase, he put them in a retirement vs title match with the team. "Money Talks" walked away champions in the improtu match on "Impact" retiring BG and Kip James. After a great sign of respect from the fans, the two stars left the ring to a round of applause. Kip Jamses was later released as BG James took a job with the NWA as a Road Agent. "Money Talks" soon self destructed after Dibiase's departure and a fall out with Robby Roode. The lost the titles to the Dudleys at Bound for Glory and soon Andrew Martin left the NWA leaving Matt Morgan by himself. Morgan then was hired by John Layfield as his personal bodyguard. As new champs, The Dudleys found themselves in a feud with the flamboyant team "The Beautiful People", who after months of trash talking won the titles at Final Resoultion much to the delight of Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.

The three old members of the Christian Coalition, Christian Cage, Antonio Banks and Tyson Tomko found themselves feuding with each other after they lost their respective gold. They were set up in a match at Bound For Glory with the loser leaving the NWA. After Christian hit a Frog Splash off the top rope, Tyson Tomko was sent packing. As the year ended Cage found himself in a feud with ex-friend Rhino as Banks found himself making an enemy out of Finlay. The feuds has yet to be resolved.

The end of 2007 also saw the end of the Abyss/James Mitchell relationship after years of being together. After constant verbal abuse by Mitchell, Abyss chokeslammed his manager on an episode of Impact. Abyss quickly feuded with ex-tag team partner Vampiro and Mitchell's new proteges Black Reign and Heindenreich, At Final Resoultion, Abyss found himself in a steel cage handicap match with all three men with resulted in an Abyss victory, but after the match the three injured Abyss in an attack, putting the big man on the shelf for an undisclosed amount of time.

After their face turn, The Samoan Family of Ekmo and Kishi Fatu found them squaring off against first the pesky team of the "Beautiful People" then the new team of the "Empire" of Paul Burchill and Nigel McGuiness. After being on the losing end many times, Ekmo is doubting the change in philosphy going into 2008.

The additions of Edge, Randy Orton, Booker T and John Layfield created a buzz in the NWA like never before and things only got better on "Xplosion".

Most fans predicted that Rey Mysterio Jr. would end up on "Xplosion" and tuned in waiting for the debut but they couldn't guess what would happen first. AJ Styles was getting cockier after each successful title match and taking any route, illegal or not, to make sure it happened. On the tour of Japan, Styles defended the title against ex-X-Divison Champion, Jushin Liger, KENTA and Yuji Ngata in front of capacity crowds. The "Xplosion" crew also toured Mexico where Styles defended against Mistico, Ultimo Guerrero and Dos Caras Jr. successfully. When they finally returned to the US in the fall, Styles was more cockier than ever.

On an episode of "Xplosion" Styles challenged any wrestler in the world to a match at "Bound For Glory". As the crowd anticipated the debut of Rey Mysterio, they went wild as the hottest free agent wrestler avaible, Chris Jericho appeared on the ramp to take the challenge. Styles lost the title to Jericho and then the rematch at Glory by Honor. After both losses Styles "quit" the NWA,stating h he wasn't appreciated by the NWA,and has been heard of since.

Jericho as the new champ found himself sneak attacked by Christopher Daniels on the next episode of "Xplosion" and then lost to Daniels in a non-title matchup the next week. The match was signed for "Do or Die" and Jericho won in a disputed outcome. Daniels protested the end of the match as he states that Jericho's shoulders were down and Daniels got one of his up in time but the referee didn't see it. The ending was still up in the air waiting for Commisioner Raven's final decision.

The Televison Champion, the undefeated, Kofi Kingston still found himself that way at the end of 2007. Kingston being one of the most fighting champions ever turned away challenges of about everybody on the "Xplosion" roster no matter if they were faces or heels. He posted victories over Low Ki, Jay Lethal, and both of the Hardys going into "Do or Die". At the pay per view Kofi put on an epic contest with Bryan Danielson (who just returned from injury) picking up the victory after barely escaping "Cattle Mutilation". The took shook hands after the match out of respect for each other as Kofi was becoming a real star in the business.

The X-Division Tag Champs the "Motor City Machine Guns" survived their feud with the "Human Highlights" somehow keeping the titles going into the fall. They soon found themselves up against the fan favorites "Briscoe Brothers" after weeks of mocking them in interviews. The three members of "MCMG" was able to use the advantage in their matches until "Glory By Honor". There the Briscoes got help as "The Human Highlights" evened the odds as they attacked Alex Shelley before he could interfere. As Sabin tried to help Shelley, The Briscoes double teamed the stranded Aries and won the titles. The Briscoes went on and and won the rematch at "Do or Die".

In other feuds, a frustrated Samoa Joe turned on his good friend CM Punk leading into a vicious 6 month feud. The two dazzled fans around the world ofter having the match of the nights. Finally at "Do or Die" the feud has seemed to end after a street fight where both men were counted out at the end after simutaneous chair shots rendered both men unconcious.

After dabbling in solo action, The Hardys teamed up again after Matt was jumped by L.A.X. on an episode of "Xplosion". The rugged style of LAX and the daredevil one of the Hardys meshed together well as their matches were fantastic. The feud finally concluded at "Do or Die" as two teams wrestled in the first ever TLC match in the NWA. The match ended after Jeff swantoned of the ladder putting Homicide through the table for the win. The match was a match of the year candidate by many wrestling journalists.

The last feud on "Xplosion" was a feud between four second generation superstars as "The Hart Attack" found them self against the team of Chavo Guerrero and Carlito Colon. As each team argued on who's family was better, things heated up as the Harts attacked Hector and Chavo Sr and then Carlos Colon on taped segments showed on "Xplosion". With family members injured Chavo and Carlito gained revenge with victories at "Glory By Honor" and "Do or Die".

After months of comedic relief of being turned down, Larry Sweeney introduced finally his first wrestler in his stable. On the last "Xplosion" episode, Gregory "Hurrican" Helms made his debut with Sweeney by his side. His intentions unknows, many people speculate on who is Helms gunning for.

The year 2007 was in the books and the NWA found itself now in a real battle with the WWE. Thanks to unforseen circumstances the NWA seemed to be the place to be at. The additions of Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho, John Layfield, Gregory Helms and Booker T backed up the claim. They also possessed an ace in the hole as Rey Mysterio hadn't debuted in the NWA yet and a new batch of young talent was almost ready to join the NWA from developmental.Dixie Carter in her wildest dreams couldn't have expected this.
