Notification Favicon/Pop-Up

Hey, I hate to do this, but a really cool feature I enjoyed on TWF was that when you have a new notification, the favicon shows how many unread alerts you have. I was wondering if we could do that here as it's cool seeing if you have any notifications without switching tabs to check on the website. If that isn't in the realm of doability, could the notifications come as pop-ups just like new messages in the chat do?
