As midnight hit and the calendar turned to 2024, a video was uploaded to YouTube simply titled: "North Pro" in which the newest professional wrestling company was announced, headed by Canadian millionaire Joseph Hoft. In the video, he promised that he would be a hands off owner and has recruited several brilliant wrestling minds to help make North Pro Wrestling a success and that in due time, all will be revealed.

January 3, 2024
Following the release of the video at the stroke of midnight, the internet wrestling community has been on fire and an official press release from North Pro was released confirming that the company's headquarters will be in Winnipeg, Manitoba and that the company will be performing mainly in Canada but that international tours have not and will not be ruled out. Mauro Ranallo was confirmed as the first member of the Board of Directors, followed shortly by Lance Storm who confirmed his involvement with a post on X.

January 4, 2024
The third member of the Board of Directors was confirmed to be former WWE United States Champion Orlando Jordan which raised a few questions in the IWC but fans were urged to trust the process.

The same day the first actual talent signings were announced as Harv and Gurv Sirha, better known as The Bollywood Boyz.

January 5, 2024
More talent signings were announced as fresh from AEW QT Marshall was named a member of the roster.

Dirty Dango and Flip Gordon were also announce as some of the inaugural signings.

January 6, 2024
Scott Garland, best known as Scotty 2 Hotty, was announced as the final member of the Board of Director which promised a huge announcement in the coming days.

Samuray Del Sol was announced as the next signing to the roster.

January 7, 2024
Shawn Spears shocked the wrestling world when he announced on X that he has signed a contract with North Pro Wrestling.

Fresh off one of the longest reigns in MLW history, former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone announced that he has signed a contract with North Pro.

January 8, 2024
The roster continued to grow as WWE and TNA veteran Eric Young announced that he has signed a contract with North Pro and will also work as a producer.

Japanese wrestling star Jeff Cobb announced that he will be appearing in North Pro but did not confirm whether a contract was signed.

January 9, 2024
The Board of Directors came together to announce that the inaugural North Pro Champion will be crowned in a 6-man round robin tournament. They went over the rules stating that there would be 2 groups of 3 and whoever wins each group will get an automatic bye into the semifinals while the others face off in the quarterfinals. The 6 men announced as participating in this tournament were:

Group A
Alexander Hammerstone
Dirty Dango
Eric Young

Group B
Jeff Cobb
Shawn Spears
QT Marshall

The Board also confirmed that the first show would be taking place on January 20 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba.

Fascinating idea. I feel like a round-robin tournament is also a good way to introduce the first few shows. It gets the World Championship off to a head start. So far, so good. I'll be watching.

North Pro #1
January 20, 2024
Keystone Centre

Brandon, Manitoba

The first show in North Pro kicks off with a sell-out crowd. Orlando Jordan stands in the ring with a microphone and welcomes everyone to the show and says that there is a huge night ahead of us with lots of surprises in store including the first matches in the North Pro Championship tournament. He announces that he has been elected as North Pro Matchmaker and that tonight kicks off with a tag team match featuring The Bollywood Boyz against Flip Gordon and Samuray Del Sol!

------------

THE BOLLYWOOD BOYZ (HARV AND GURV SIRHA) DEF. FLIP GORDON AND SAMURAY DEL SOL
via submission (8:08)

A great back and forth highflying match to open the first North Pro show sees both teams get a fair amount of offense until Gurv manages to lock in the Cloverleaf on Gordon, forcing him to submit.

Following the match, The Bollywood Boyz get on the microphone and introduce their associate…MAHABALI SHERA who comes to the ring and grabs the microphone from Harv and introduces the collective but says that they do not need a name as their ring work will do the talking and they will win things fair and square.

------------

Orlando Jordan appears on the video screen and announces that the next match will feature two of North Pro’s newest signings…Leon Ruff and…Mustafa Ali!

------------

MUSTAFA ALI DEF. LEON RUFF
via submission (12:16)

Another highflying showcase between two fantastic talents and new signings to North Pro. Ruff gets several near falls on Ali but in the end, Ali manages to lock in the Koji Clutch to get the pinfall victory.

Ali demands a microphone and cuts a promo saying that he was disrespected in the United States and if Canada decides that they want to disrespect him, they will feel his wrath. He says that tonight is just the beginning and that Mustafa Ali will be a household name and will be the #1 signing in North Pro history.

------------

NORTH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ROBIN #1
JEFF COBB DEF. SHAWN SPEARS
via pinfall (5:14)

Cobb dominates Spears from the opening bell, battering him and throwing him all around, showcasing his superior strength. Spears tries to fight back into the match but Cobb takes him on a Tour of the Islands to get the pinfall and all important 3 points in the championship tournament.

------------

MAIN EVENT
NORTH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ROBIN #2
ERIC YOUNG DEF. DIRTY DANGO
via pinfall (10:28)

Two veterans going at it in the first match of Group A is an entertaining affair for the fans here in Manitoba. There’s a few comedy spots from the two men but Young suddenly gets serious when two masked men emerge from behind the curtain. Young gets vicious and begins to batter Dango and hits him with The Edge of Sanity to get the pinfall victory and earn 3 points in the championship tournament.

Following the match, the two masked men enter the ring and stand on either side of Eric Young before removing their masks revealing Axel Tischer and Killian Dain. Young demands a microphone and says that they are here to bring some sanity to North Pro before throwing the microphone to the ground.

North Pro #2
January 27, 2024
Keystone Centre
Brandon, Manitoba

The second show in North Pro history kicked off in the Keystone Centre once again but this time, Mustafa Ali opened the show decked out in a suit. It is clear that Ali is overjoyed at the fact that he is in North Pro and that Canada has welcomed him as their own but his promo quickly devolved into insults being thrown at the fans in attendance. Ali made it clear that he will not take any disrespect and that he is Canada’s greatest son. The crowd was not too pleased with this and were elated when the trio of Mahabali Shera, Harv and Gurv Sihra interrupted him.

On the ramp, Shera declared that he and his brothers in arms will not allow anyone to slander the audience and that Ali has already proven that he’s all talk. Ali reminded him that he got a victory last week over Leon Ruff and would gladly kick Shera’s ass all over the arena. Shera agreed to a match against Ali in tonight’s main event.

NORTH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ROBIN #3
QT MARSHALL VS. SHAWN SPEARS

Spears looked to rebound here after his embarrassing loss last week against Jeff Cobb and seemed more evenly matched against Marshall. Although not the greatest match, both men showed why they have a place in this tournament and Spears managed to rock Marshall before hitting the C4 to get the victory and the all important 3 points in the tournament.

Winner of the match by pinfall: Shawn Spears (8:22)

The video screen lit up with a video of three men in a dark room and it is soon clear that these three men are Eric Young, Axel Tischer and Killian Dain. Young stated that he knew he needed his friends because he knew this place was going to be insane. The promo continued with Young promising that he was going to become the first ever North Pro Champion and that the three of them will bring just a little bit of Sanity to North Pro Wrestling.

SAMURAY DEL SOL VS. FLIP GORDON

After losing in a tag team match last week, both men had something to prove with this match and prove it they did with both flying around the ring. “The Mercenary” quickly took control over the match after hitting a secret low-blow on Del Sol. Gordon proceeded to show no mercy over his opponent who he would finish off with the Star-Spangled Stunner.

Winner of the match by pinfall: Flip Gordon (11:49)

Gordon would proceed to get on the microphone where he would make it clear that he is on a mission and that mission is to show that the Board made a mistake when not including him in the championship tournament and that he is determined to go through every single member of the roster until he tastes gold.

NORTH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ROBIN #4
ALEXANDER HAMMERSTONE VS. DIRTY DANGO

Dango’s last chance to secure some much-needed points in the tournament got off to a rocky start as Hammerstone used his power to throw Dango around the ring. Dango tried his hardest to fight his way back into the bout but was promptly planted with the Nightmare Pendulum by Hammerstone and getting pinned meaning that he will finish last in Group A.

Winner of the match by pinfall: Alexander Hammerstone (6:33)

The video screen once again lit up with a video package of sorts which hyped the coming debut of one of the hottest commodities in wrestling today and showed blurred highlights of said superstar. A voiceover made everyone aware that this man would no doubt dominate North Pro and be on top in no time.

Following the prior video package, Jeff Cobb appeared on the screen in an interview pit with Sean Mooney who announced himself as North Pro’s backstage interviewer which garnered a large pop from the crowd in Manitoba. Helms quizzed Cobb on his thoughts on the championship tournament and Cobb simply stated that he has yet to show Canada how dominant he can truly be but that will come in time.

MAHABALI SHERA VS. MUSTAFA ALI

Shera surprisingly came to the ring without reinforcements, making it clear that he wanted to do the honorable thing. Ali, on the other hand, came out of the gate with dirty tactics, poking Shera in the eye. The two fought back and forth with Shera using his size to his advantage, tossing Ali around the ring. Ali once again used dirty tactics when he hit Shera with a low-blow that went unnoticed by the referee. Ali attempted to get Shera to submit to the Koji Clutch but was unable to get it locked in. Shera fought away from Ali and managed to hit Sky High to get the victory.

Winner of the match by pinfall: Mahabali Shera (15:34)

As Shera celebrated his hard fought and first win in North Pro, Ali collected a steel chair from ringside which he very promptly used to clobber Shera in the back. The Bollywood Boyz attempted to make the save but Ali also laid them out with the same chair. The show closed out with Mustafa Ali standing tall over Shera and his boys.
