re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

Great trade by them as they can use all the defense they can get. NFL and trades really isn't something that happens often in bunches like it does in NBA or MLB.

Yeah if Talib can stay out of shit, the Patriots got a killer deal out of that trade.

Everybody was bothering the Panthers about Steve Smith, but he said he'd retire if he was traded. Definitely thought DeAngelo Williams was going to get moved though.

Kind of shocked Steve Smith didn't want to even entertain the idea of a trade but guess he is that loyal. And Carolina really should have dealt Williams but then again probably hard to get any takers with him being overpaid.

I'm kind of surprised Tebow didn't end up on the Jags, I don't think he would've helped them too much as that entire team minus one or two pieces is terrible. But it makes perfect sense for him to play their, guess the JETS are just counting down the clock until they Bench Sanchez and hand the offense to Tebow.

I would think the last thing Carolina would want to do at this point is take away the few weapons Newton has. Smith should be the last guy they would trade besides Newton himself.

And yeah, gotta agree with NMS. The honeymoon between Rex and Sanchez appears to be almost over. Sanchez should be they QB they're shopping anyways.

re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

I don't think they were offering to trade Smith as much as they were probably just listening to all offers.

As for the Jets no matter what they say they brought him in to push Sanchez to play better and to steal headlines. The whole Tebo being a secret weapon thing was all bullshit as they've hardly use him and when they do they don't use him right. He should be on in every play as QB in the redzone if nothing else. I expect some sort of cleaning of house in the offseason from them.

Think i read that even the Jets owner came out and said he wanted to see the team use Tebow more  Kind of feel bad for Sanchez, I'd welcome him over on the Raiders over Carson Palmer that's for sure.

Hell at this point, I wouldn't mind Jerry giving him a shot either. Romo's too complacent and has never had to compete for his job. Jerry had wildcat fever as soon as the Dolphins brought the scheme back a few years ago and Tebow is certainly a wildcat kinda guy.

I'd even take Romo over Palmer that's how desperate i am for a decent QB.

I don't know who is gonna be in the draft outside of a few guys and don't know what pick Dallas will have but I think it is time Dallas drafts a QB in the first round. Esp if they don't make do anything in the playoffs though I doubt they even get in.

I'm wondering if they'll ever give Terrell Pryor a shot. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Eh. Romo will just make your stats look pretty. He's not any more of a winner than Palmer.

I'm hoping they do, from what i seen of him in the preseason he's pretty decent on his feet. Just needs to pass the ball better and take less hits. I'm not saying he'd be a Cam Newton or RG III, but it might be worth it to see what he can do.

re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

You don't want Pryor as your QB. He's awful. If Oakland can ever get McFadden going, they won't be that bad. McFadden looks slow though, which is shocking and a bad sign. Speed is a big part of his game. Gotta wonder if that foot injury took a ton of tread off the tires.

Eh. Romo will just make your stats look pretty. He's not any more of a winner than Palmer.

Except Romo has 15 turnovers this season. On the other hand, Palmer is a statue. At least Romo can scramble and extend a play before he turns it over.
