When I was referring to his teammates disliking Owens, I was mainly talking about SF. I have hear 10-15 guys come out and talk about his diva actics and me above the team attitude and even heard about locker room splits.

As far as tonight I don't really care who wins but since Patrick Willis is my favorite player in the entire NFL, I'm slightly pulling for him to get a ring. I'd be totally fine with Reed getting himself one too though.

Like, yeah, he's a good player and all but he's still part of a TEAM. Everything I've seen about this superbowl hasn't even been about the two teams. It's been about one team and one player.

Jerome Bettis got the same kind of coverage before Super Bowl XL. It's just because it's his last game and everyone wants to tell his story, particularly if he goes out as a champion. And if the Ravens win, you're gonna hear about him all offseason too.

Flacco has gotten talked about too so has Colin esp in regard to a scrambling QB being in the super bowl and possibly winning for once. And of course the Harbaugh brothers have been all over the place with their parents. So it has not just been all Ray but of course he is going to get a lot of press. Saying he is just a good player is a understatement he is one of the greatest players of all time and it is his last game in the super bowl. Doesn't get any bigger of a retirement story than that.

Yeah but you have to admit that for the level of coverage most quarterbacks get right before the Super Bowl, Flacco has practically had a cloaking device. They talk about Kaepernick way more just because of the circumstances he came to command the team under and how well the Niners have done since he took over. Between that, Ray's retirement, the "Harbowl", Randy Moss's blithering nonsense, and any reference to Hurricane Katrina that comes naturally any time there's a big event in New Orleans, Flacco's been relatively low key in terms of his "elite" status and I like that.

Oh yeah I agree Flacco really isn't getting the press most super bowl QB's get for sure but was just saying he isn't being totally ignored. Part of that is because he outplay two of the greatest QB's ever so they've kind of backed off the whole Fluko thing. It isn't a bad thing in his case to not have extra pressure on top of playing in the super bowl.

I hope it stays that way and no one ever calls him elite. Every since people started writing him off against Peyton and Brady, he's been playing his best football ever.
