Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Miami Heat are impossible to defend against. Wade and Lebron James simply drive at me and my players stand there like blueberries and they end up usually hitting a slam drunk or a fancy lay up.

Any tips? I use Boston btw.

If you used LAL you could half court press them and pretty much limit them. I'd go 1-3-1 zone with Boston and go to coaching profiles and turn up defensive pressure while reducing fast breaks.

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

What about buttons wise? Anyways I can improve my defense without going all technical, I'm not familiar with basketball and the plays and whatnot.

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Best basic thing you can do is hold down l2 at all times and stay in front of them without trying to steal or block the ball too much. You much rather have both Wade and esp Bron shooting jump shots than going to the basket. Double teams of course can work.

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Don't burn R2 all the time because it snaps stamina. If you use L2 and the directional stick to almost funnel guys a way you can kind of stay connected to their body at times. Hardest thing is knowing who you are matched up with. If it is LBJ you give him some space to take the jumper, if it is Kobe you can't but the fakes or let him seal you in the post, and if you get caught up on a multi man fastbreak just pray

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Cheers fellas, I use the LT trick, but they usually sprint around me. I'll definitely keep these pointers in mind though.

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

You can add a little bit of turbo (r2) in those moments. You can also call for some help d from the nearest guy with L1 I want to say (might be r1)

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Up to 81.

Won the title with Memphis over Miami in 5 games, and finished 16-1 in the playoffs.

Signed with the Lakers in the off season, but Fisher was retired :(

Knew you were gonna go with L.A. Good luck with prying the ball out of Kobe's hands :p

Starting PG from the day I signed and he can't be worse than Mayo, Conley, and Gay. If Fisher had not retired I was going to get him and Kobe 10 rings lol.

Fucking Griz didn't sign Randolph back, but did sign Iverson, Shaq, and McGrady

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Hell of a defense tandem there.

My starting line up for my Suns team this year is Nate at PG, Shannon at sg, Dudley at sf, me at PF and Gortat at C. Got J.R Smith, T.J Ford, Redick, Diaw, and Barnes on the bench. Think Doc Rivers is our coach.

Re: NBA 2K11 Thread

Phil re-signed, whereas Fish gave up the two years left on his deal to retire

Go figure
