They were so worried about him not making a high profile match with Chyna on PPV they paid him hundreds of thousands of dollars up front to do it since his contract ran out. If he didn’t draw, they’d have no problem saying he couldn’t appear and do something else instead. I know it’s a meme now, but there are so many people that actually believe that.
