After delaying the film earlier this month, Mission: Impossible 7 has officially wrapped production, according to some recent photos from the set of the film.

Joining Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell are returning Mission: Impossible alums Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep), Simon Pegg (Ready Player One), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Vanessa Kirby (Hobbs & Shaw), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) along with newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War) and Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans) who will replace Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) for the villain role.

The Mission: Impossible franchise spans almost 25 years and six films, starting off with modest critical and major box office success in the first two films before launching its lead protagonist into grittier and more explosive stories, each film getting progressively better reviews than its predecessor, with the most recent installment, Fallout, earning the highest reviews for both the franchise and the action genre, currently maintaining a 97% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes while also acquiring the highest box office gross of the franchise at over $790 million worldwide.

I geniunely think Mission Impossible 6 is the best one. I've never watched such an exciting and adrenaline packed movie. It's gonna be very hard for them to top it, but these movies seemingly get better each time lately. It's a rare example of the later sequels being much better than the first few movies.

That bathroom fight scene is probably one of my all-time favourite action scenes:

Mission: Impossible 7 received its official title today as Tom Cruise announced the name during Paramount’s CinemaCon panel.

Cruise revealed that the name for the seventh installment is Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. As such, the 2024 follow-up, previously known as Mission: Impossible 8, will be called Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two. The two films will release on July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively.

Interesting, I always see people shitting on #2 and 3 but loving the others. I have very few memories of the third movie, except the drone scene on the bridge. I should watch it again.

Tom Cruise just loves this shit doesn't he? Huge balls doing all these stunts. They just keep raising the stakes with every Mission Impossible film, it has just kept getting better with time. Action sequences are worth the price of admission alone.

Also, he rode off that cliff 6 times for the shot? Jesus.

Looks incredible. I'm really excited about Esai Morales as the main antagonist in this, his performance in Ozark was top tier.
