Major WWE PPV might be getting ‘scrapped’

I think it's only a good thing, if they for one scrap the MITB PPV (in which I mean they drop it completely and not swap it out for another) and if it's not a forced "We have to do two MITB matches per Mania".

Either alternate between giving the Women and the Men the MITB match at Mania, or make it a mainstay of either division and give the other something else (Like the KOTR/QOTR tournament, with the same or a similar prize for winning that)... but I doubt they will go that way, so eh...

Yeah they are in a bit of a conundrum with men's and women's now. The rumble doesn't even flow well with two and that won't ever change at this point

Actually after typing that and before hitting reply....they have two nights of Mania so doing one ladder match each day would be no issue IMO

I think both MITB and HIAC PPVs need to be scrapped. Because of those two PPVs I really think both of the match gimmicks kind of have lost their luster. Not only that but I really think that if a wrestler could go from winning it at one point in the night and later on win it on the biggest PPV of the year is such a great story.

Triple H is making changes to the WWE premium live event schedule starting in 2023, as he has already removed the Day 1 show and is looking to remove gimmick-themed shows.

Although WWE Hell in a Cell has been good to Triple H with so many memorable matches in his career, he is getting rid of the themed event. The event, created in 2009, has been one that fans have voiced their criticism about, as when the show is on the calendar, WWE is forced to use the cell for feuds instead of a heated feud needing the cell like it was originally used.

WrestleVotes told GiveMeSport that the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view is considered to be "completely dead.”

“The show itself, I think, is completely dead. That match, from what I understand, means a lot to Hunter, just think of the classics that he's had in there. Roman Reigns & Jey, so they've been feuding for six weeks. They got to be there now because the calendar says so... That's not going to happen anymore.”

It should be noted that the event is believed to be done, but not the match, and Triple H will use the cell bout when needed for the right feuds.

Excellent news, thats probably been my least favorite gimmick match having a PPV, even Elimination Chamber works better since it's 6 whole people you gotta force in there, but HIAC should be for angles that need it only

Wrestling fans have been saying it for years…

The fact that rivalries were supposed to escalate to a Hell in A Cell match just cause it was October was ridiculous
