Hi, I'm Chucky. Wanna play?

It’s too bad that Zelina couldn’t get on the show in her hometown to honor her dad, who was a victim of the 9/11 attacks.

The September 10 episode of SmackDown averaged 2.383 million viewers on Fox, up 7.3 percent from the previous week. The show took place at Madison Square Garden and featured Brock Lesnar's first appearance since returning at SummerSlam.

This matches the January 22 episode of SmackDown for the show's highest audience in 2021. Except for last December's Christmas night SmackDown that had the benefit of a huge NFL lead-in, it's actually the most viewers for the show since April 3, 2020.

SmackDown finished fourth among network programming in terms of total viewers.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew a 0.65 rating, up 4.8 percent from the previous week. It's SmackDown's best number in that category since July 16, which was the start of WWE's return to touring.

SmackDown led all of television in both the 18-49 and 18-34 demos on Friday night.

Year-over-year, SmackDown was up 2.3 percent in total viewers and up 8.3 percent in 18-49, so the show is skewing younger this year.

As compared to the 10-week average prior to this week, as shown in the chart below, SmackDown was up 12.6 percent in overall viewers and up 14 percent in the 18-49 demo.
