Bringing Rock back to do a match at a show other than Wrestlemania is so fucking bizarre though. I don’t care if it’s in Australia.

I mean, I kinda get it. They wanna make each PPV feel big and special which is why they've chosen more international venues

storywise well Rock either needs to win the rumble or chamber to get the title match. precedent has been set the last however many years.

I think if Rock does appear in Australia it might be just to cut a promo with Roman and promote the match and probably get physical. He may wrestle a match against another member of The Bloodline as a warm up

It happening at Elimination Chamber would be perfect for all parties if it went the way we all assume it would go.

Cody misses out on winning the Rumble ala HBK/Taker and getting back to Roman at WrestleMania but ends up winning the Chamber. Rock loses to Roman truly putting him over as unstoppable. You could have a Rock/Cody segment on the Raw following where he backs Cody to finish his story and the admiration between the two and stuff about their families yadda yadda. Big babyface Cody finally topples Roman at WrestleMania.

The only sticking point is how you make it make sense on TV that Rock/Roman is happening at the Chamber and not saving it for Mania.

the problem with Cody not winning the rumble is you are going to make whoever wins it and not picking Roman look like a huge bitch

It benefits nobody for Rock/Roman for the belt at Mania.

And I feel like it benefits nobody to have Roman drop the belt this close to Mania.

I would just stick with what seemed to be the plan. Last night was just Rock laying the foundation.

Cody wins the Chamber. Roman walks into Mania as Champ, does the honors for Cody. Then pivot to Rock/Roman for Summerslam.

You want Rock in Australia? Fly him in to do a segment with Heyman and have him beat up Jimmy.

Well Punk has already stated he kinda wants Rollins. Doesn’t make Punk look weak at all
I think Punk also mentioned Roman when he was on SDL so he would still be ducking Roman - which would still give him the main event moment he kayfabe wants. Also Punk winning the rumble would be pretty terrible to go for the raw belt, he can literally breathe on Seth and Seth will give him a shot at the belt.
