I’m not too worried about the narrative. Of course Raw is not gonna sustain a 2.3 indefinitely on USA network. But the fact that they were able to do that even once because Cody had just won the championship is a pretty big deal.

It’s kind of a double edged sword.

It’s the Raw after Mania so you expect the number to be higher than normal.

But it was also up against the National Championship.

It’s an excellent number but moving forward will be the real litmus test for Cody as a draw.

Even just comparing this to the previous raw mania, this is a great number.

I don’t think raw in USA can carry a 2, unfortunately, but I have faith cody will carry a consistently strong number.

no one is going to say Cody is not a draw when the raw after mania are lower, there's been plenty of raws with lower numbers where cody was the draw and they did fine and it was never a talking point. Only people looking out to hate on cody are going to spin stuff like that

yeah he's already proven that for like almost 2 years as far as im concerned. roman and rock pop big numbers occasionally because they arent around often and therefor are special attractions, for example. Cody as the main character of raw has been extremely steady ratings wise. there won't be a problem imo
