Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

I don't pay attention. It was that boring that I forgot to care what the teams were.

1-1 not a bad performance by Italy overall.

Nah, we have to wait New Zealand vs Slovakia.
Hopefully a tie.

Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

Is it true that England have to win both matches to get past the groups.

Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

Hmm, no, 1 victory and 1 tie may be enough in your case. Depends on the other results.

So to keep it in our hands we have to win both, not too difficult surely, we just need to get James on :p.

Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

Green will play again apparently.
And btw I wouldn't worry that much, ok he made a major mistake, it just happens in football, that doesn't make him a horrible gk out of nowhere.
Look at how Italy scored today, that was a much worse mistake by Vilar, compared to Green's.
Green was more unlucky than actually shitty .

Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

Yeah but I would have prefered James or Hart without that mistake, also making a mistake that big puts your head down for a long time.

Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

Giving him a second chance is actually the best way to recover him actually.
I'd rather see Joe Hart, but well, not a big deal to me anyways.

Re: Official Soccer (Football) Discussion Thread

Lol, it is pissing me off all the pundits moaning that Hart is inexperienced, surely the best way to gain him experience is by playing him and trusting him with the world cup no.1 pos. would surely develop him for the future. Anywho, what's up with Buffon these days?
