MANILA, Philippines – Brock Lesnar may have finished his illustrious UFC career following his loss to Alistair Overeem.
However, this doesn’t mean he’ll be returning to professional wrestling anytime soon.
Jim Ross, wrestling guru and close friend of Lesnar, said the former WWE superstar doesn’t like the travel demands of professional wrestling.
“Brock dislikes, putting it mildly, traveling. Plus, he doesn't need the money,” Ross said in Yahoo! Sports’ MMA blog, Cagewriter.
Ross added that Lesnar could do an appearance in WWE, but this is unlikely to happen in 2012.
“I could see Brock doing a major, one-off WWE appearance ala Wrestlemania, but not this year, and doing so while not even making the live Raw events that lead into it,” he said.
Lesnar announced his retirement from UFC after receiving a beating from Overeem in UFC 141 over the weekend.
It is still unclear if the UFC will allow Lesnar to fight for another promotion since his UFC contract remains live.
UFC president Dana White, however, said he is willing to work it out with their biggest pay-per-view star.
“I've had my moments with Brock Lesnar but I've had a great relationship with him and we'll figure it out, no big deal,” he said.
