(c) Kazuchika Okada vs. Sanada for the IWGP World title. Sakura Genesis. Okada backs him up against the ropes. Normally, Okada will give his opponent a clean break. Not this time. Okada punishes Sanada with a stiff forearm shot. Okada gets the better of it when they fight outside of the ring. A stiff boot sends Sanada over the guard rails.

Okada with a DDT. Sanada gets back in the ring, only to be trapped by Okada's Money Clip. Sanada picks Okada up for a Fireman's Carry and converts it to an F-5. Sanada executes a moonsault, but a downed Okada instinctively lifts his knees up. Okada picks Sanada up for a landslide. Sanada is desperately trying to fight it off, but Okada holds tight and gets his landslide. Okada sets him up for a Rainmaker; Sanada counters with a cutter. Okada picks him up for a running powerslam, but his neck gives out. He drops to one knee and Sanada takes advantage and nails him with a Shining Wizard. Okada with a Cobra Flowsion and tries another Rainmaker. Sanada knows it's coming, blocks it, and counters with a DDT. Pins an exhausted Okada to become the new champ.

British Bulldog & Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Terry Gordy & Steve Williams. Davey gorilla press slams Gordy. Williams runs in to help his partner but is met with the same fate. It"s a battle of gorilla press slams as Dr. Death gorilla slams Gordy onto a downed Davey Boy.

Bigelow with three successive headbutts on Williams. Williams tries an irish whip, Bigelow reverses it and connects with a clothesline. Davey pushes Gordy against the ropes. Gordy runs, Davey leapfrogs over him and flattens him with a dropkick. The moves were basic but it was done with such panache the fans cheered. Gordy attempts to pick Bigelow up for a piledriver, but Bigelow's too big. Gordy's resigned to tagging out to his partner. As Bigelow and Williams are fighting at ringside, Davey small packages Gordy for a two-count. Gordy powerbombs Davey and is smart enough to pin both of his shoulders down for the win.

Americas Most Wanted vs The Naturals for the NWA TNA Tag Team Championship Impact Episode.

What I like about this match in the October Edition of Impact 2005 is that things were different. Previously before this match Americas Most Wanted turned heel to join Jeff Jarrett in forming Planet Jarrett to help him beat Raven for the NWA TNA World Heavyweight Championship. They had a plan and that is to have all the power. What cement their heel run even further is the fact that they had Gail Kim former WWE Women's Champion at the time.

I love the storytelling from this match even though it was a little short. I guess I am spoiled with match times these days. Back to the meat and potatoes here. This was a different and much different AMW that The Naturals were facing. It was a more dangerous tag team compared to their previous encounters that whole year. I believe that this was the match that the company debuted a different version of Guilty. A more bad guy tip to it.

The Naturals almost won it had it been for Jeff Jarrett low blowing Chase Douglas and James Storm smashed the beer bottle over the head over one of them. I could get them mixed up, but you know what I mean. At the end of the match towards the end of the show we seen AMW, Gail Kim and Jeff Jarrett continuing to beat the daylights out of The Naturals.

In order for Planet Jarrett to gain more power, AMW had to win those tag titles.

The Steiners vs. Hercules and Scott Norton. Hercules' forearm shot knocks Scott down. Scott with a go-behind, exploder suplex on Hercules. Hercules takes Rick down with a running shoulderblock. Hercules attempts to leapfrog, but Rick catches him with a powerslam. Norton's in action briefly and Samoan drops Rick. Hercules & Norton are making quick tags, beating down on Rick with short-armed clotheslines. Scott keeps Norton grounded with an armbar and converts it into a headscissors. Scott with a Fisherman's suplex on Norton. Hercules attempts a flying double-axe, but Rick catches him with a belly-to-belly for the win.

Hercules looked chiseled here, nothing like his final year in the WWF when he let himself go.

The Steiners vs. Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasaki (rematch). Rick with a gutwrench backbreaker on Hase. Hase tries to punch him. Rick ducks and counters with a single-leg takedown. Rick keeps him down with a half Boston Crab. Rick tries to leapfrog over Sasaki, but is caught in mid-air with a powerslam.

Rick fakes a collar-and-elbow tie-up, ducks under Sasaki and executes an over-head suplex. Rick lifts him up in the shoulderbreaker position but rams him up against the turnbuckle pads instead. Rick attempts a go-behind, but Hase counters with an inside cradle. Hase and Sasaki briefly double-team Rick. Scott Frankensteiner's Hase for the win.

Hase took a pounding from the Steiners power moves. I'm surprised he came out of these matches without any injuries. He's billed as 231 lbs. but he looks like a cruiserweight.

(c) Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Vader w/Harley Race for the US title. Starrcade '94. Duggan takes the fight to Vader before the bell rings. Vader has to catch his breath before he gets in the ring. Duggan's stiff clothesline knocks Vader down. Duggan clotheslines him over the top. Duggan connects with a cross body. Duggan picks Vader up for a scoop slam. Duggan climbs the second turnbuckle and misses an elbow.

Vader signals for a moonsault, but took too much time playing to the crowd. Predictably, Duggan moves out of the way. Vader perches the second turnbuckle for a splash but Duggan counters with a powerslam. He has Vader pinned for a good eighteen seconds, but ref Nick Patrick is arguing with Race. Vader defeats Duggan with a flapjack.

Vader was billed as a challenger to champ Hulk Hogan but he didn't look dominant, as he was getting out-fought by a one-dimensional brawler. He also needed Race's help to win.

Ospreay counters with his own wristlock. Ospreay tries a single-leg, Scurll counters with a school boy. Scurll with a side headlock takedown, but Ospreay counters with a head scissors. It's a melee afterwards, with no tags and the referee allowing anything to happen.

The Bucks double superkicks Roppongi Vice. Matt Jackson misses a Stinger splash on Beretta. Beretta counters with a tornado DDT. Romero wants to go toe-to-toe with Fale, but three straight running clotheslines doesn't faze Fale. Fale picks Romero up for a Razor's Edge and throws him out of the ring on his partners. The Bullet Club were heels but they were high-fiving the fans as they were walking down the aisle.

The Steiners vs. Tatsumi Fujinami & Takayuki Iizuka. Wrestle War '92. Fujinami and Scott Steiner lock-up. Fujinami with a quick armdrag. Scott tries a single-leg, but Fujinami keeps his balance and doesn't go down.

Iizuka with a flying elbow on Scott. Connects with a Senton and proceeds to put Scott in a Boston Crab. Iizuka, with his magenta-colored tights, reminds me of "The Model" Rick Martel. Rick Steiner with a German suplex on Fujinami. Fujinami fights back with low kicks to Rick's shins. He keeps Rick grounded with a single leg grapevine. Scott with a pump handle slam on Iizuka. It looks like Scott is going to put Iizuka into an abdominal stretch but turns it into a roll-up. Rick pins Lizuka after executing an overhead suplex off the second turnbuckles.

Kerry Von Erich vs. Jerry Lawler in a WCCW & AWA World title unification match. Super Clash III. Kerry backs Lawler up against the corner. Lawler grabs Kerry's left arm and slams it against the turnbuckle. The commentators claimed Kerry's left underarm was cut but I didn't see any blood.

As Kerry keeps checking his arm, Lawler peppers him with quick punches and an uppercut which sends him over the top rope. Lawler piledrives Kerry, who gets up and counters with a piledriver of his own. Lawler connects with a fistdrop off the second turnbuckles. When he attempts a second fistdrop, Kerry counters with an Iron Claw to Lawler's gut. Von Erich has a downed Lawler in an Iron claw but the ref Mary Miller doesn't make the count. Instead, he calls for the bell claiming Kerry can't continue because of a laceration on his forehead.

It's a controversial call because Marty's an AWA referee and stopped the contest when Lawler was passing out.
