Just discovered a fiery section of Elden Ring called Caelid. Very, very cool visuals. Sky has turned all red. I always liked the fire areas in the previous Dark Souls games like Lost Izalith & Iron Keep even though they were some of the hardest to go through. Just visually they were always blowing me away. This game looks gorgeous even on a Slim PS4, I can't wait to play it on PS5. I get the impression I probably shouldn't be here yet though and I have explored too far. :lol Some of the enemies here are pretty terrifying looking, and quite tough to beat. Probably come back later when I've leveled up a bit more but it's for sure cool to explore and I see another castle in this area so I'm pretty excited to check that out.

Friendship Wolf
Gave Dead By Daylight a whirl last night at the behest of a friend group. I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer, really. Much prefer single player stuff, if only because I'm an uncoordinated ditz who gets a touch too much anxiety when things I do might effect others. But I'll play along for the friend group because I enjoy the time with them.

For those who don't know it, it's a 1v4 game where one person plays as a killer, and the others play as survivors. The killer has to, well, kill the survivors, while the survivors have to - you know, I'm sure you can connect that thread without my help. Survivors have to fix generators to power the exit gate to open, healing each other when they get hurt, and avoid the killer. Dozen of killers with different playstyles, so one might be better at stealth, another might be better at traps, etc, etc, idk man I'm tired. You get the drill.

Anyway. The game itself seemed... Alright. I'm utterly terrible at skill checks so I buggered that up a fair bit. Practice will help with that of course but that really kicked up my anxiety. I did tell the randos we were with that it was my first time playing and 'preemptive apologies for sucking' and, for the most part, they were nice about it. Only one said to 'uninstall and kys', which comparatively speaking I'd count as pleasantly surprising, overall. Dunno what kys is but I'm sure it's a friendly gesture of encouragement.

I'll likely give it another go some time next week. The friend group usually goes with open-world crafting survival games until that gets old so they move on to the next open-world crafting survival game, and I don't really care much about those games so I'll keep giving Dead By Daylight a whirl when they're on, if only because it's fun to play with them and it's funner to discuss random topics while we're trying not to die. Sure, I could tell them that the generator is at 98% repaired, and they could tell me that the killer is circling them so I can go do stuff, or they could give me a 10 minute discussion about their personal Dead By Daylight Killer wifeu tier list without telling me what a wifeu is.

So. Yeah. Seems okay, funner with friends than randos, go figure. Would probably play again assuming my anxiety doesn't spike too much.

I randomly decided to start another Dark Souls 2 playthrough. :lol I dunno how much of it I'll be actually playing with Elden Ring right now, but I've played the game a few times now so I know where a lot of the bosses and item placements are. I actually found that game even more fun in further New Game+ playthroughs now I'm geared out. There's still a few trophies I've yet to unlock so it's one of the reasons I'm working through it again. Most people aren't too big of a fan of DS2 generally, but it ended up being one I really enjoyed despite how harsh and punishing it can be in certain sections.

Played about an hour of Tormented Souls. I'm really enjoying it so far. I like how faithful it feels to past survival horror games and it feels so good to play one with fixed camera angles again. Feels like the good times. Loving the visuals, and pretty interesting opening to the game. Just exploring and trying to figure it out, but I can already tell I'm enjoying the atmosphere immensely. It's perfect.

Super Sevens and Africa Gold, I like pragmatic play slots, there are many cool games where I can practice my gambling skills. Once I even won money while playing. It was awesome. They offer bonuces for players and huge jackpots so I decided to try my luck again. Hope the lady luck will be on my side.

Storm Trooper

If I can be Storm Trooper for a Minute
I just checked out Gotham Knights from the library on Tuesday (voting made me have to go there). I'm finding the game to be decent? I find the control to be weird, and in 2022 if I ram my bat-cycle into an oncoming car I expect an accident not both cars to just stop.

I bought the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection which comes with two games packaged in (Blood Money and Absolution) so I've been playing a bit of Blood Money tonight. Feels so good to be back in this game again, I haven't got opportunity to play it again since the PS2 days, always wanted to. This game always had so much replay value back in the day and it has by far my favourite level design in the series. They got the perfect formula going. I enjoy pretty much every location they throw you in. There's a ton of variety. I especially enjoy the level in the suburbs and I think the one in the casino is amazing too. So many different disguises that all work well. I always liked they don't see through your disguise easily in this one. Many ways to tackle the levels. Gameplay has certainly aged in areas no doubt, but man nostalgia really helps here a lot. This is still such a blast to play and experience, and whilst I do like the newer Hitman games they just never really hit me the same way I guess. Like I was obsessed with this game for the longest time and I really am not the biggest fan of the stealth genre at all.

Hitman: Blood Money was a masterpiece. I used to have that game memorized so I could speed run the levels. I got the HD version but on xbox they upped it to 60fps and the aiming just feels off so I didn't play it too much.

I loved the level where you go to the opera and switch the prop gun for a real gun.

Got my PS Plus back on and I've gotta say Elden Ring is even more fun playing online. In fact, I think it's probably the intended way to play it. I always did enjoy reading the messages and whatnot during my Dark Souls playthrough that people leave behind, but yeah this game just feels quite perfect for co-op. I'm having a lot of fun helping people out with bosses I've already killed. It always feels very satisfying. I'm also realising how many secrets and things I'm missing during my playthrough in some areas, some messages already have helped me find some things. Of course, there is the troll messages too like 'hidden path' when there isn't one. :lol
