Just saying he’d get lost in AEW too

As a main stay, sure. They probably gonna bring him in for something, just like they did with KENTA.

He wasn't particularly interesting, no gimmick, very short, and there will always be the language barrier for Asian wrestlers without a manager.
Not a huge loss in the end and I really hope AEW don't sign him.

With that said I heard he was very liked backstage, apparently he is a very nice guy so I wish him the best in Japan. He was just not my cup of tea.

Was never going anywhere under Trips NXT and certainly wasn't going anywhere on 2.0. Good deal for both parties.

NJPW bound hopefully, right on time for BOSTJ and the rumored NJPWxAEW supershow

Love the guy, but past the CW Championship he wasn’t going to do anything significant.

If you’re a foreign wrestler that doesn’t speak fluent English, it feels like you’re kind of behind the 8 ball so I can’t see him having any more success in AEW than he did in WWE.

His best bet is probably going back to Japan. And he’s one of the few guys that if he does, I’ll still keep tabs on and watch some of his matches.

as much as I enjoy his work I agree, no idea what he would even do in AEW as he's not a big enough star to be catapulted into the main event and all their current stories and angles are all starting to fire off leading up to the may ppv so ya...i cant see them bringing in new talent at this time unless they were a major acquisition. not to mention they should probably be signing more women anyways, not men

I guess he could be cool in ROH but ya, still think going back to NJPW is the likely play here. the jr division would be better for it

"He is done. His contract expired, it was not a secret that he wasn't going to stay. I know in WWE the belief is that he starts with New Japan in June. That's what they believe and it's probably the case."

From Meltzer, would be great for the BOSJ tournament if he made it

Sounds like he just didn’t re-sign which would mean he can do whatever he wants as of right now

That's what it sounds like to me too but I think everyone is vague about it rn cause they genuinely aren't sure

Dude had a ceiling in Japan, let's not forget that.

No one can even pretend the Junior weights are the ones drawing the houses there.
