Jim Miller has never really defeated the upper echelon of the division. But interesting enough, his UFC record of 13-3 with 1 no contest gives him the most wins in the UFC's lightweight division, and that in itself is something not to be overlooked. And come UFC Fight Night 45, he'll be looking to keep his win streak alive.

Miller is unbeaten in his last four fights including a 2012 fight of the year candidate opposite Joe Lauzon and back to back first round submission wins. However, he admits that a win over Cerrone will be the most meaningful out of his few wins to date.

Jim Miller said:
It keeps my career moving in the right direction. Donald is a tough opponent and those are the guys I’m looking to fight. I need to get the win and keep on rolling forward.

Miller has had mixed success in the octagon. He put on a seven fight winning streak from 2009-2011 before meeting Benson Henderson and has found trouble getting back on the horse ever since.

Jim Miller said:
I was raking up fights pretty quickly. I’ve had 18 in under six years. It’s a fast pace at this level of competition. I was fighting top competition and the training camps were catching up for me. I was getting banged up.

UFC Fight Night 50 is the best of both worlds for Miller he says, a chance to main event a show in his home state of New Jersey and with an opponent the caliber of Cerrone. Miller says he couldn't ask for anything more and will be looking to put Cerrone away early.

Jim Miller said:
I want to put on another dominant performance. In the last two fights, my opponents didn’t get out of the first round. I’m looking to put him away early.

UFC Fight Night takes place Live next Tuesday from the Revel Casino in Atlantic City New Jersey.

Yup, gonna be a hell of a fight. Barboza vs. Dunham will be great too. There's no way either of those fights aren't exciting and the rest of the card looks like some pretty fun fights too.

I'd love Miller to get a title shot against Pettis, here's hoping this goes well for him to put him in with a shout.

If he does win I'd like to see him get a shot for a rematch against Benson Henderson or Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Khabib is riding a 6 fight win streak in the UFC and overall is 21-0, where as Benson is ranked number 1. So I'd say going through one of these would be a gate keeper bout for Miller should he beat Cerrone.

Cowboy's one tough mother fucker though.
