It was my first thought. Maybe Ric and Conrad bought it?

The original JCP technically became UWC which was Turner’s shell corporation for post sale lawsuits since Vince didn’t actually buy the company. I think they liquidated it finally only a few years ago and Vince probably didn’t bother keeping up with the trademark since he had no plans to use it.
