Jack Thompson vs. GTA: TV Series in the works

Bill Paxton is in talks to star as Miami activist attorney Jack Thompson in BBC Films’ Grand Theft Auto, the story of the fight between Thompson and the creator of the titular game over video game violence.

Daniel Radcliffe will play co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser. Rockstar is behind the GTA series along with Max Payne and Red Dead. Thompson, meanwhile, frequently targeted Rockstar, Houser and the GTA series. He slammed media companies for using rap and sex on the air before moving to video games. This led to him being disbarred in 2008 for inappropriate behavior.

Owen Harris (Misfits, Black Mirror) will direct from a script by James Wood. The film begins shooting on April 20. It’s based on David Kushner’s book Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto.

This will be absolutely great, I really hope the people that hate on GTA for "promoting" violence and stuff like that get furious about this.
