In case you missed the return:

Now I don't know much about these two women other than they are below the ranks of female wrestlers like Ember Moon in NXT, but Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville seem to have set the stage for a stable with Paige. I don't know if that is where this is heading but if it is, what are your thoughts on it? Is it something that will work well?

I am fine with it and it is refreshing. It is also a good way to reintroduce Paige without putting her down the rabbit hole (Don't go there... Don't..). As for Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, using her return will help them get established with their own personalities and voices on Raw. I think in terms of who this benefits the most, I would say Mandy Rose and but more specifically Sonya Deville. Sonya has a fresh look (female fighter) which is something that has not been done in a long time (if ever) on the main roster.

So yeah, I welcome the idea of this becoming a thing but I hope they don't over-do it or run it into the ground. It seems a bit weird they attacked Bliss but I guess these means we may see a Bliss face turn in the near future. What I do not want to see happen is Paige with another belt. Not yet.

Okay...I think a heel stable is fine...as long as they have a cool name
and a shared purpose or goal.

This return/attack by Paige, Mandy & Sonya doesn't really mean anything yet...
and we won't really know what is going on until the dust settles.

What I do not want to see happen is Paige with another belt. Not yet.

I'd personally be happy for them to put the belt on Paige...but I'd be happy for
them to put the belt on anyone but Alexa at this point...even Nia...and that's
saying a lot.

I honestly think the should just put the belt on Asuka ASAP...but...that's just
me being a "fanboy" of the Empress.

I also don't think Alexa will work as a face considering what a complete bitch
her character has been since arriving on the main roster and much like Charlotte
she just works so well as a heel.

Lets have a look at the RAW women's division at this moment...

Faces:
Asuka
Bayley
Mickie James
Sasha Banks
Dana Brooke (?)

Heels:
Alicia Fox
Alexa Bliss (c)
Nia Jax

Now...it could be possible that "Paige & Friends" will simply be written
as heels (even though Paige was given a huge face pop) and then we
will have 5 faces to 6 heels.

It is also possible the WWE maybe trying to set up a 3 faction conflict
(again) with the teams being:

Bayley, Sasha, Mickie...
Alicia, Alexa, Nia...
&
Paige, Mandy, Sonya

with Asuka simply working her way through everyone till she eventually
reaches the Champion at the Rumble or even Wrestlemania...and with
Dana possibly being dropped back to NXT...because Dana is going nowhere
on the main roster for the moment...especially seeing as Emma is now
a non-factor.

Its too hard to say at this point...but as long as Paige & Friends has
a better name than "The Welcoming Committee" we should be fine.

At least its interesting...

I mean this is the first real exciting development the RAW women's division
has had since the brand split.

I just hope SmackDown gets some "New Blood" for their Women's Division
as well.

I thought about this... And thought about it... And you are right. I can't think of a single thing that I found interesting with the women since the split . By interesting, I mean being actually intrigued by what they are doing.

Most of the time it is and "Oh?! :emoji_open_mouth:" and then " Oh. :emoji_rolling_eyes:" moment with them. Like something will seem interesting on the rumors and then nothing comes of it or they will start to head in the direction of building story lines and then completely botch it.

In the hands of intelligent folk and long term...the answer is yes but the powers to be are 50/50 on the smart meter and only really care about the short term and what they think is best for the fans their business so the answer than is no. I do enjoy the fact they are thinking for a change and I enjoy the idea of a female stable but not on both brands. Now if it was one stable on both brands that would be far more intriguing to me whether female or male. I just working these RAW/Smackdown on the female side lasting til or just after Mania which establishes the 6 females to a whole new level but ultimately Vinnie Mac will tire of it and give up on it. Now if he weren't in power...it may have a chance to last longer. To be clear I am a Vince McMahon fan and I respect his legacy but he has more than just lost a little bit of touch with what his fans want and whats really best for business. Just my opinion on things though.

I agree with this completely. He has lost the plot. A lot of what the fans desire and like in a story line is overlooked by Vince and the writers thinking they can write in just about anything so long as there is a good match in the middle and at the end. If the build is crap then even a 5 star match can be overlooked because people are not invested. This is especially true with the women. This is part of the reason I would estimate over half of the WWE fan base still doesn't take them seriously. So while this stable is good and refreshing, if they run it too short or run it into the ground, they will only hurt all three members in the long run. Chances are, it won't build right and that is a shame.

I'm good with it, as long as it keeps Paige from leaking any more of those photos. I think I've seen enough of her to last a lifetime. Thanks, but no thanks Paige.

Sable like, "Hey I'm the first women in wrestling to pose nude"
Paige grabs Xavier and Maddox like "HOLD MY BEER"

I know I was right...that's why I said it...

:shuckle:

There is the possibility that Paige, Mandy & Sonya
may not even be a faction/stable and this was just
a one-off debut beat down introduction...and the
same goes for the new SmackDown trio...but then
it all could be part of a larger story with the 5 NXT
call ups all working for Paige which then leads to
the the first ever women's Royal Rumble where
Paige serves as CM Punk & the NXT call ups
serve as her Nexus so to speak...but...who really
knows with the WWE.

And seeing as I'm totally lame...here is what I would
do with each of them on their own:

Paige:
A feud with Sasha or Mickie James would work nicely
as a reintroduction for her.

Sonya Deville:
Because of their looks & personalities...Sonya vs. Bayley
would make for some interesting promos & matches.

Mandy Rose:
I think the important thing is to show that she is NOT "Sable.2.0"
so I'd put her in a feud with Sasha/Mickie to show everyone just
how good she can be in the ring.

Ruby Riot:
I'm going to say they should put Ruby straight into a title feud
with Charlotte. It would be new, fresh & exciting and again they
are the complete opposite of each other as far as appearance
goes.

Liv Morgan:
I guess a feud with Carmella would be a logical starting point...
but I'm honestly not sure. I would have introduced her as a
sidekick/fangirl/apprentice to Becky Lynch...but that idea is out.

I guess they could have her do the same thing with Nattie?

Sarah Logan:
I'd pair her up with Harper & Rowan.

There...I know I'm lame...you don't have to tell me.

Well...if you look across the entire women's division...the only
women with any momentum are Alexa, Asuka, Charlotte & Natalya.

The RAW booking team basically buried everyone else to
make Alexa look good, Asuka will always have momentum
because of her current undefeated streak, Charlotte only
recently started to get her Queenly groove back and Natalya
is still a threat to Charlotte and was booked really well as a
champion...in fact Natalya first loss of any real kind since
Summerslam was when she dropped the title to Charlotte.

On RAW Sasha & Bayley are both stagnant and were basically
thrown under the Alexa Bus...and both have been rumored to
be turning heel...

Mickie James was also recently fed to Alexa...and couldn't even
make it onto the Survivor Series team...

Nia Jax only seems to appear on TV once or twice a month...
and has been defeated too many time by Sasha & Bayley to
pose a real threat...at least at this point...

The rumor is Alicia FUCKS will be retiring soon...

& Dana Brooke...is Dana Brooke. She should really be in NXT.

On SmackDown...Naomi had a terrible title reign and has done
nothing since she dropped the belt, Becky has been written off TV
so she can go and do some ACTING!!!, Carmella is a walking joke
with a briefcase although thankfully she is no longer being followed
around by a Blob Fish and the Tamina/Lana pairing is just boring
& pointless.

The entire women's division needed this injection of fresh talent...
and I really hope the WWE creative team can make it work.

At least we will be getting some fresh match-ups...which is always
a good thing.

No... most women in Raw and smackdown are stale as hell...seriously, they are just not that good if compared to other promotions. Of course they are way better than their predessor back in the early years

This would be even better of Smackdown didn't do the almost exact same thing the night after.

Goth chick (Paige, Ruby Riot)
Blond Girl (Mandy Rose, Liv Morgan)
Brunette with an intimidating look (Deville, Sarah Logan)

I think it can work out if well booked, unlike what they did with the divas revolution? Team PCB, Team Bellas, etc... Yeah don't do that ever again please.
