I've never seen Bowfinger...but then I don't really watch comedy films.
I tend to mainly stick with Kaiju/Monster, Science Fiction & Horror with
the odd "Classic" 80's Action film thrown in for fun.
Although I'm listening to a lot more music these days...so I'm generally
only watching one film a week.

I don't know...
Spaceballs, Ghostbusters, Gremlins...
For me to watch a comedy it generally has to be a
"Genre Hybrid"...with either Science Fiction or Horror.
I generally just don't find "straight" comedy films funny...
so I don't watch them.
I have watched Bowfinger before, and it is a good movie, but I am not into comedies at all really. Though the article was an interesting read though so that is cool.
