Many fans have likely noticed that WWE's Intercontinental championship has been put on the back-burner and really isn't used for major angles as of late. An example of this was Kofi Kingston's match against Alberto Del Rio at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. WWE went with a non-title match and the commentators basically ignored it and joked around. We noted prior to the PPV that there was talk of putting the IC title on the line and then doing a 'champion vs. champion' match at WrestleMania between Edge and Del Rio but that obviously didn't happen.
I'd also like to note that Kofi Kingston has not won a match since January 25th when he and Rey beat Kane and ADR. Hasn't won a singles match since January 11th when he defeated Jack Swagger.
