Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling management announced earlier this week the cancellation of the remainder of its live events for the 2007 calendar year.

This includes the previously announced October 6 live event, in addition to scheduled events in November and December as well. We apologize to any and all fans this decision may inconvenience in any way. CAPW tentatively plans to relaunch in January 2008 with brand new faces and a brand new attitude. TWO HUGE TAG TEAM MATCHES SIGNED FOR THE OCTOBER 13th EVENT!

Combat Zone Wrestling Returns to South Philadelphia on Saturday Night, October 13th, as the Road to Cage of Death IX continues!

At the 2007 "Chri$ Ca$h Memorial Show, then-Jr. Heavyweight Champion Scotty Vortekz came to the ring to insult the injured "Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger, leading to a war of words between two of the R.A.A.G.E. Dojo's best. Younger apologized for nearly losing a finger and being unable to compete, and Vortekz claimed that his injury was "minor" and Younger was disgracing his roots. Enter "Diehard" Dustin Lee, who ended his friendship with Younger, siding with Vortekz and putting the badmouth on the Tournament of Death Champion. A week later, at "TOD: Fast Forward", Vortekz joined the Maven Bentley Association, attacking Drake after a hard-fought first-round tournament match. With Vortekz out to finish off Drake, and Diehard turning his back on him, Younger needs to find a partner, and fast. Just signed for the October 13th CZW Event:

Last month, Team AnDrew - Drew Gulak & Andy Sumner finally realized a dream. They stepped up, asserted themselves into a match that fans had demanded, and captured the CZW World Tag Team Championship, with the crowd exploding as two of CZW's most promising young stars capped off an impressive rise from obscurity to stardom.

For all the popularity this team is enjoying, there's another team waiting for their big moment that is easily one of the most despised & controversial tandems we have seen in quite some time. Derek Frazier & Niles Young, along with the "Queen of the Catfight" Noel Harlow, are extremely hostile, violent, and emotional, to say the least.

Former CZW Iron Man Champion "Mr. Insanity" Toby Klein is coming to South Philadelphia with one goal in mind: to bludgeon each and every member of the Maven Bentley Association. Last month, Klein lost the Iron Man Championship to the now 2-time champ, "The Lariat" DJ Hyde, the most despised member of Maven's faction. The decision to not allow Klein to participate in the UVU Tournament (won by Brain Damage), as well as Bentley's decision to not grant Klein an automatic rematch (something DJ Hyde was given) has pissed off the bad man from The Highlands, and he has made his decision for the upcoming "CHOOSING SIDES" event.

Toby Klein CHOOSES DEATH. The Necro Butcher, Klein's teammate in Tough Crazy Bastards, is also headed to Philadelphia, and the two have demanded that Bentley select which members of the MBA will be ready for them in either singles or tag team action. Necro's return to CZW will no doubt be an eventful one as the Road to Cage of Death IX rolls on, the TCB hit South Philly, and the MBA looks for an answer!

The Ultraviolent Underground Champion Brings the Belt Back to Philadelphia
Fresh off of maiming The Hellaware Assassin, crushing J.C. Bailey's skull, and slugging Danny Havoc's brains out, the now 2-time UVU Champion Brain Damage has been signed to appear at CZW "CHOOSING SIDES". There is no doubt that Toby Klein and The Necro Butcher will be looking to get in the ring with him, but in all fairness, Brain Damage may be the one unstoppable monster that actually has the number of the Tough Crazy Bastards. The title returns to Philly on October 13th, and with the title comes the real-life "Terminator" himself - Brain Damage!

It was announced today that the lead heel stable in Osaka Pro, Bad Force, would be dissolving on April 26th. This is related to the new promotion know as Okinawa Pro, which will be a subsidiary of Osaka Pro, and the two will work together, along with other groups and freelancers. Bad Force members Zero, GAINA and Condor will be a member of the promotion, thus leaving Osaka Pro in a month. Announced for the upcoming cards: Black Buffalo & Tigers Mask vs. Zeus & Daisuke Harada of Blood & Guts on 4/19. The winner of that match will face Zero & GAINA for their Osaka Pro Tag Team titles on 4/26. Bad Force members will also collide with Atsushi Kotoge vs. Zero on 4/12. Brodie Lee vs. B.J. Whitmer

Brodie Lee will be making his debut in IWA Mid-South and he will be starting off at the top of the ladder as he takes on a former IWA Mid- South Heavyweight Champion, Revolution Strong Style Tournament winner and TPI winner in B.J. Whitmer. The only person that can match those credentials in IWA is Chris Hero so we will see right off the back whether the big man who has been running roughshot on the east coast can carry that momentum with him into IWA Mid-South.

Jimmy Jacobs vs. Dingo

This will be another battle between the upstart trying to make his name by taking out an IWA legend. Dingo has been the flavor of choice recently with IWA fans as he has put on some impressive performances. This will be his first appearance in Plainfield for IWA and he will be taking on the second longest reigning IWA Mid-South heavyweight champion in history in Jimmy Jacobs. Will Jacobs be able to focus on Dingo and not think about B.J. and the No Rope Barbed Wire the night before? Will Dingo attempt to take Jacobs out of service before the NRBW match? This could be a mat classic but only time will tell.

Main Event - No Rope Barbed Wire Extreme Grudge Match
B.J. Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs

This feud is ready to come to a very bloody, very violent end. B.J. Whitmer showed up at the 500th show at the request of his long time friend and manager, Jim Fannin, to finish off Jimmy Jacobs once and for all in an I Quit match. They taped Jacobs to the ropes and beat him within an inch of his life with a Singapore cane but Jacobs refused to quit. Jacobs passed out from the pain of a figure four with repeated cane shots but Fannin didn't want it to end that way. He wanted to hear Jimmy Jacobs squeal "I Quit" and be humiliated just like Jacobs humiliated the IWA. Jacobs was able to gain the victory by repeatedly stabbing B.J. in the groin with a spike. This match is going to go to the extreme and neither man may be the same after this blood feud comes to an end. For those that will say, "Isn't ROH running that weekend?", as has been said all over the internet, ROH is cutting back on the number of people on their shows and Jimmy and BJ are not on the ROH shows that weekend. They want to settle this thing once and for all and it will happen on April 12th.

IWA World Heavyweight Title vs. Tag Titles
Eddie Kingston, Scorpio & Mickie Knuckles vs. BLKOUT (Ricky Reyes, Joker & Ruckus)

This match stems from the altercation after the Kingston/Scorpio match at the 500th show. BLKOUT came out to celebrate with Eddie and attacked Scorpio. Eddie got angry that they were stealing his moment and tried to get them to stop attacking Scorpio. They turned on Eddie and beat on him until Scorpio made the save. Since Ruckus was getting involved and making the odds a little unfair, Ian Rotten added Mickie Knuckles to the mix. Mickie and Ruckus had some trouble at a WSX taping out in LA when Ruckus was running his mouth about Mickie and saying things that were upsetting her and then got mouthy with Ian when Ian called to talk to him about it. Ruckus was a big man when he was 3000 miles away from Ian and now to his credit, he has turned down a ROH booking so that he couldn't be called a coward for ducking Mickie Knuckles in this match. If Eddie Kingston gets pinned in this grudge match, he will lose his IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title. If either Joker or Ricky Reyes gets pinned, they will lose the IWA Mid-South tag team titles. This one could get settled in the streets surrounding the Hartman Rec Center!

Saw the CHIKARA Podcast a go go for the first time last week. Also my first taste of CHIKARA. Looks pretty light hearted but with some good technical and lucha libre wrestling. I think that Create a wrestler thing they do is pretty cool too - they don't take themselves seriously at all, which makes it light hearted viewing. Shame The Fight Network doesn't show it!
