6-way-elimination-1.jpg

The following are spoilers from Saturday's Impact TV tapings in Chicago, Illinois, featuring the fallout from Friday's Emergence special.

The big news is that the main event of October's Bound for Glory will be Impact World Champion Josh Alexander defending against Eddie Edwards.

Edwards earned the spot by winning a six-way elimination match that also included Bandido, Sami Callihan, and other former Impact World Champions.

Results and notes are courtesy of Luchablog.

BTI matches:
  • Gisele Shaw defeated Rosemary
  • Bullet Club's Ace Austin & Hikuleo defeated Zicky Dice & Johnny Swinger
Impact for August 18th & August 25th:
  • X-Division Champion Mike Bailey defeated Chris Bey
  • Heath defeated Kenny King. Continued tension between Eddie Edwards and PCO helped Heath escape further damage.
  • Killer Kelly defeated Savannah Evans
  • Eddie Edwards won a six-way no. 1 contender's elimination match over Steve Maclin, Moose, Rich Swann, Bandido and Sami Callihan.
  • Knockouts Tag Team Champions VXT (Deonna Purrazzo & Chelsea Green) defeated Mia Yim & Jordynne Grace
  • Karl Anderson defeated Mike Bennett
  • Jessicka Havok defeated Alisha
  • Bhupinder Gujjar defeated an enhancement talent. Digital Media Champion Curt Hawkins came out and offered Gujjar a title match, but the ref refused to start it until he was bullied into it. Gujjar defeated Hawkins and left with the the title, but the title change wasn't announced in the arena.
  • Impact World Champion Josh Alexander defeated Vincent in a non-title match. Heath attacked Edwards as he was trying to recruit Alexander into HNM.
  • Black Taurus defeated Trey Miguel, Laredo Kid and Rey Horus in a four-way that may have earned him an X-Division title shot
  • Motor City Time Splitters (KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated Violent By Design (Doering, Deaner & Eric Young)
Other:

The following was teased during the announcer segments and assumed to be taped/executed during the August 26th and 27th tapings in Dallas, Texas:
  • Mickie James will address her future
  • Masha Slamovich will compete in a no. 1 contender's match
  • Sami Callihan challenged both Steve Maclin and Moose to a barbed wire match
  • Maria is banned from ringside for the upcoming Good Brothers vs. OGK Impact Tag Team title match.

PWInsider reported several notes following last week's Impact Wrestling double dip in Chicago, Illinois, that included Friday's Emergence and Saturday's TV taping.

One of the notes was that Scott Armstrong started over the weekend -- both behind the scenes as a producer and also as a referee.

He was released this past January after 15 years in WWE during another round of cuts, alongside his brother Brian "Road Dogg" James and others.

Violence at Victory Road

As noted in the spoilers for the next two weeks of TV, a beaten up Sami Callihan came out near the end of the night to challenge recent adversaries Moose and Steve Maclin to a barbed wire match.

PWInsider reported the date for that three-way will be on Friday, September 23rd at the Victory Road special on Impact Plus.

Jordynne Grace's next challenger

At the end of the taping during the announcers' plugs for future action, it was revealed that Masha Slamovich would face someone with a Knockouts title shot on the line.

PWInsider noted that her opponent will be Deonna Purrazzo with the winner moving on to challenge Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace at Bound for Glory. Slamovich confronted Grace at Friday's Emergence.

That match, the Impact Tag Team title match between champions The Good Brothers and the OGK, and Mickie James addressing her future are all scheduled for their tapings in Dallas, Texas, later this month.
