I went with Army, don't know why but I just went with it over the others.. I'm not really knowledgeable about all military related things anyway.

None of them entice me but I'd go with Army as well.

Funny story Jax borrowed a DVD of the Marine to a friend and never got it back. It turns out he went into the Marines and returned a few months later because he was a lazy sack of shit. He had some bogus excuse of having a bad hip. Still never returned the DVD even though it inspired him to be a MARINE.

You mean the John Cena movie, The Marine? I'm doubting it but if it is, I don't know how that inspires one to become a marine because that movie sucked ass.

I loved The Hurt Locker and other movies like that. Simply amazing.

Yeah, Hatred John Cena's movie. I know the movie sucks that is exactly why it doesn't make any sense. Coleman(ia) has done other idiotic things that I won't bring up here though.

I signed up for the RAF years ago but they had no vacancies in the jobs I wanted, so just went to uni instead.

So, erm....Air Force.

I had actually considered a military career, in fact basic training was the reason I took my first sabbatical from e-fedding in 2010. I went Navy because that's what my Dad did for ten years and I wanted to be like him. Well, they thought I wasn't handling the stress well so I was given a medical discharge. It just wasn't for me, I don't regret it because it was a learning experience and I made some great friends. But yeah, Navy.

If Australia was at war then I would sign up for the Army. Would prefer it over the others because Army and Air Force seem much more removed from situations. It is more about the machines like ships and planes rather than person to person combat. Being a sniper in the Army would be an okay job.

I wonder what makes people sign up for the Marines. Don't get me wrong, I respect them immensely, but it's something I couldn't do. I would stick with Coast Guard or Air Force.

I'd go army. My great grandfather served in the Great War (WW1 for those who don't know what it means) and I'd love to be able to retrace his footsteps if the situation ever arose.

Wouldn't mind the Air Force (Top Gun), or the marines, but the navy wouldn't be for me. Confined on a ship with guys...no thanks

I didn't have to but I joined the army.

It's the only one that really interested me. my father was in the army as was my best friend. Hell I'm going to basic the same place my father did.
