Former ECW performer Michael Depoli (a/k/a Amish Roadkill) has reportedly declined TNA Wrestling's offer to appear at next month's Hard Justice pay-per-view event.

His reason for declining their offer is that he considers himself retired from professional wrestling and simply has no interest in returning.

Flair, Hogan, Warrior, half of the TNA locker Room....Take notes from Roadkill! No Roadkill isn't anywhere close to the level of Flair and Hogan but at least he understands what the word "Retirement" means!

I don't think alot of smarks get it. It's not as easy as you think to just retire from pro wrestling. Some people live the lifestyle of a superstar. Ric Flair doesn't have a choice, he has to keep working. Ex wives and debt don't go away. Same for Hogan. Wrestler's are constantly on the road, racking up expenses and bar tabs, it's basically the only leisure time they get. They definitely don't save for the future, that's apparent, but it's somewhat understandable when your life is basically spent on the run from one town to the next. And there is no end of the road for some of the top guys who made so much money that their lifestyle drained the bank fast, they have to keep on working. There isn't much out there for a Ric Flair or a Hogan that is going to support their lifestyles and ex wives they way wrestling will. It's their most discernible talent. Guys like Amish Roadkill, who never drew a dime, are actually better off working a steady 9-5 as it basically takes care of them the same, if not better, than pro wrestling did, and good for him. But he also knows it's not worth getting back into shape for a one night stand, because his lack of success means lack of ego and really, who the hell is clamoring for an Amish Roadkill return? Most guys don't retire because they don't want to, it's because financially they can't.

Not only that, but if its something they love, who's to say they should stop. If you can still go out there and do what you do, then do it. Unless physically you can't do it, then yeah you shouldn't be wrestling.

If you were having sex for 15 years and someone said you sucked at it and to give it up forever, would you do it?

While everything you said is true, I can't help but shake my head at these people. It's called a savings account. Put money it in so you don't have to work later. Considering how much money a guy like Flair made, the fact that he's apparently living show to show today is a testament to how stupid he and all like him are.

Not sure if you know how divorces work, but Flair got raped in his divorce. So even if did have a savings account, half of that was legally his wife's at the time. And in law suits, and other essentials, and your (to an extent) broke.

Eh, somehow I think if Flair downgraded from solid gold enema hose tips to sterling silver, he'd have plenty to actually retire. Lifestyles need downgrading.

And your right to shake your head. But if Flair had maybe one divorce, he might have been able to retire, but he had two. Add the fact that he got royally dicked in pay by Bisch ( dude got 200,000 per year while Lanny Poffo was getting 250,000 to sit at home. Put that into perspective and consider Flair sold out the Carolinas on his name alone and it's revolting) and all his bad investments and things didn't turn out al peachy for ole Naitch. Hogan would have been fine had it not been for getting it in the ass from his bitch ex recently. But alas, that's just the way things work out.

But see I would be able to tolerate these guys if they stayed out of the ring. Flair was doing great as a manager before his PRIDE got to him and had him thinking that he still has something to prove. Same goes for Hogan and guys like Dreamer. You don't have to get in the ring to make a decent pay check in the biz.

Lifestyles need downgrading.

Thank you.

Mick Foley lived pretty much IMPOVERISHED on the road for years so he could save for a way out. He's definately not hurting for money.

Bottom line with alot of these guys is it's their greed and belief that they need to live the high life, as opposed to living on the cheap and saving for later.

Pretty sure he still owes mad cash to the IRS too. Even still, him getting raped in the divorces is still his fault. Like McFly said, prenup anybody?

I understand these guys need a paycheck but like it's been said already, they could easily work backstage or as managers, but instead they're pushing down younger guys who also need money PLUS a start in the wrestling business. WWE finally gets it with them pushing younger guys, TNA and the old guys there don't. Just because a stuck up vet needs money doesn't mean he has to push younger guys down in the process.
