I'm not saying he won't be fine, I'm just saying that when he does take over and he's in charge of the two main brands and dealing with all that extra stuff that surrounds it then it's going to be a much bigger deal to handle.

That's why he already has his generals already employed and Stephanie has hers, everything is already in place...been ready for the past 3-4 years.

Regal going to be his Patterson, Road Dogg is his Hayes, Terry Taylor is his Brisco. Rember these names when Meltzer and co. say them in stories months from now.

Thing is with Triple H is that his "grand influence" could be really good or really bad. He has the career experience from a wrestler's perspective, something many wrestling companies of the past wanted nothing to do with, and his particular track record with running a wrestling promotion isn't very strong. When promotions have been run by former wrestlers in the past, it never ended well for those promotions. And I don't just mean his buddy Kevin Nash who ran WCW into shit, but also WCW pre-Bischoff era, TNA, WCCW when Fritz kept his children on top all the time, and Stampede Wrestling in the same regard. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Triple H turned out to be similar. I don't think Triple H will run WWE into the ground and he's a lot more in-tune with the times outside of wrestling than Vince is, but can he actually elevate the company? That I'm not so sure of.

He'll continue to develop and push new stars to a certain extent, but could you really imagine Triple H suspending or even firing his own buddies when they get out of line? Do you think he would really make all his decisions based on what is best for the company after everything he's been through with so many of the wrestlers on that roster? Do you think someone like Dolph Ziggler will ever be treated as equal to someone like Randy Orton? That's just not going to happen.

The history of this business has always reminded us that you can never trust in someone with an agenda and I just don't believe Triple H's focus would or even could ever stay strictly centered on the good of the company.

OR he could be the first in his position to find monumental success. Time will tell, but I'm not holding my breath.

^You brought up TNA, but TNA was doing pretty well up until the Jarrett's (both of them) decided to let the Carter family buy a piece of the pie and then relinquished control of the company. When Jeff was running TNA, he had the company in a really good position to grow. Jeff got them to the point that they could get on TV, they could travel, they had their most successful PPV's. Jeff made some big moves with TNA and then the Carter thing happened, direction changed, and it suddenly became the most dull piece of work in the industry.

Really kind of hard to blame Jeff for the TNA mess (unless you're blaming him for the sale to the Carters).

I didn't say he single-handedly got them the TV deal... I said he got them to the point they could.

Jeff's not at fault for one investor turning out to be a shady company being investigated federally. That company also forked over a huge stake for a small price. Carter was also still back-seat to Jeff for several years (up until 2006 specifically) when he took the 6-month break to go do the work in Mexico. Once Jeff started taking all that time off to work overseas deals with Mexico and India, Dixie started taking more control.
